For the driver that demands the best out of their vehicle. The Dinan Adjustable Coil-Over Suspension was bred in the race lab but refined on the street for maximum versatility. No matter the environment the traction that is bestowed upon the vehicle from the improved suspension will inspire new found confidence when running at higher speeds. Combined with a substantial reduction in body roll as well as reducing dive under braking and squat under acceleration, Dinan will guarantee you superior handling, performance, and comfort. Dinan's design keeps the factory Electronic Damper Control shocks in place and implements threaded collars to allow the user to change the ride height. The end result is a sleek lowered stance that provides improved handling to go along with its stunning visual appearance. The springs combined with progressive bump stops and other components increase travel that allows the car to be lowered up to a 1.25" (1.125" on the M6). Suspension packers are included to fine-tune handling and comfort by changing the clearance of the progressive bump-stops something no respectable racecar is without. Components are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized for appearance and corrosion protection. Due to the extensive lowering possible and the increased suspension travel, the installer must carefully evaluate tire clearance under all situations. Safety will be compromised if all precautions are not taken. Dinan is not responsible for any property damage or injury. Features: Threaded collars allow easy and precise front & rear vehicle height adjustments. Up to 1-1/4" of lowering is possible depending on tire clearance although 3/4" drop is recommended to maintain ride quality. (M5) Up to 1-1/8" of lowering is possible depending on tire clearance although 5/8" drop is recommended to maintain ride quality. (M6) Spring rates are 15% stiffer for both front and rear. Substantial reduction in body roll. Included suspension packers allow adjustment of bump-stop clearance to fine-tune handling and comfort. Dinan-spec progressive bump stops improve ride quality at lowered ride heights. Components are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized for a sporty Compatible with BMW EDC shocks.

For the driver that demands the best out of their vehicle. The Dinan Adjustable Coil-Over Suspension was bred in the race lab but refined on the street for maximum versatility. No matter the environment, the traction that is awarded to the vehicle from the improved suspension will inspire newfound confidence when running at higher speeds. From the substantial reduction in body roll as well as reduction of dive under braking and squat under acceleration, Dinan guarantees you superior handling, performance, and comfort. Dinan's design retains the superb factory electronic shocks but swaps the springs to a more aggressive, performance-enhancing formula and implements threaded collars that allow the user to change the ride height themselves. While shorter, stiffer springs are commonplace in aftermarket suspensions and are a key element in reduction of body roll it is not a one-size-fits-all all approach. In the case of the G8x M3/M4 where the vehicle has a penchant for oversteer, stiffening the rear springs would exacerbate the problem of the rear losing traction before the front when the platform is pushed to the limit. Dinan instead has opted to soften the rear spring rate as well as switch from the factory progressive rate rear to a dual rate spring setup. The combination increases predictability and compliancy, and in turn, provides better rear grip/road holding for a vehicle that needs both. The result is a sleek lowered stance that provides improved handling to go along with its stunning visual appearance. The springs combined with progressive bump stops and other components increase travel that allows the car to be lowered up to 1-1/8" in the front and 2-1/4" inches the rear. However, to retain the ride quality synonymous with Dinan suspension kits the recommended drop of 3/4" (M4) or 7/8" (M3) in front and 3/4" in the rear is advised. For suspension connoisseurs, or those that are just simply very particular, suspension packers are included to fine-tune handling and comfort by changing the clearance of the progressive bump-stops --- something no respectable race car is without. NOTE: Due to the extensive lowering possible and the increased suspension travel, the installer must carefully evaluate tire clearance under all situations. Safety will be compromised if all precautions are not taken. Dinan is not responsible for any property damage or injury. Features: Up to 1" of lowering in front and 2-1/4" of lowering in back are possible depending on tire clearance but with diminished ride quality Dinan recommends a 3/4" (M4) to 7/8" (M3) drop in front and a 3/4" drop in the rear to maintain a civilized ride Up to 1/2" of lift in front and 1-1/4" in back over stock is also possible Threaded collars allow easy and precise front & rear vehicle height adjustments Spring rates are 15% stiffer in front and 10% softer in the rear for increased predictability and compliance Substantial reduction in body roll Dinan-spec progressive bump stops improve ride quality at lowered ride heights Included suspension packers allow adjustment of bump-stop clearance to fine-tune handling and comfort Components are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized for a sporty appearance as well as corrosion protection Stock upper spring mounts are utilized as well as spring isolators for quiet operation Installation Instructions: https://documents.dinancars.com/d190-8210.pdf

No matter the environment, the traction that is bestowed upon the vehicle from the improved suspension will inspire new found confidence when running at higher speeds. From the substantial reduction in body roll as well as reduction of dive under braking and squat under acceleration, Dinan guarantees you superior handling, performance, and comfort. Dinan's design retains the superb factory electronic shocks but swaps the springs to a more aggressive formula and implements threaded collars to allow the user to change the ride height. While a stiffer spring is typically associated with diminished ride quality Dinan has also swapped the progressive rate rear springs in favor of a much more predictable linear rate spring design. This allows for a more compliant feel while still being able to enjoy the benefits of a stiffer setup such as the reduction in body roll. The end result is a sleek lowered stance that provides improved handling to go along with its stunning visual appearance. The springs combined with progressive bump stops and other components increase travel that allows the car to be lowered an incredibly low two inches in the front and 2-1/8 inches the rear. However, in order to retain the ride quality synonymous with Dinan suspension kits the recommended drop of 1" in front and 1-18" in the rear is advised. For suspension connoisseurs or those that are just simply very particular suspension packers are included to fine-tune handling and comfort by changing the clearance of the progressive bump-stops something no respectable race car is without. Due to the extensive lowering possible and the increased suspension travel, the installer must carefully evaluate tire clearance under all situations. Features: Threaded collars allow easy and precise front & rear vehicle height adjustments. Up to 2" of lowering in front and 2-1/8" of lowering in back are possible depending on tire clearance but with diminished ride quality. Dinan recommends a 1" drop in front and a 1-1/8" drop in the rear to maintain a civilized ride. Spring rates are 20% stiffer in front and 15% stiffer in the rear. Stock rear springs are progressive whereas the Dinan springs are linear. Helper springs are utilized in the front and rear to maintain proper suspension operation under droop conditions as well as accommodate the extensive travel of the stock shocks. Substantial reduction in body roll. Included suspension packers allow adjustment of bump-stop clearance to fine-tune handling and comfort. Dinan-spec progressive bump stops improve ride quality at lowered ride heights. Components are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized for a sporty appearance as well as corrosion protection. Stock upper spring mounts are utilized for quiet operation.

Dinan Adjustable Spring Sets feature stiffer springs and an innovative perch system that allows the ride height to be fine-tuned even with stock shocks. Dinan Performance springs are slightly lower but stiffer for better handling and less body roll yet still remain comfortable for normal use. They have carefully engineered the springs to work within the rates of the stock shocks, providing unmatched handling, looks, and ride quality. Adjustable spring perches give you the ability to keep your stock shocks (even EDC) but lower the ride height and set the perfect stance. This is hugely beneficial when using larger wheels and tires where a standard spring drop will not give you the look you desire. Dinan coil over springs include a threaded collar that fits over the stock strut body in the front and an adjustable perch in the rear. New progressive bump stops are also included to maintain the proper shock travel. This kit is great for fine tuning your ride height while retaining the factory EDC system.

For over 35 years, Dinan has been America's premier tuning company, pioneering advancements in BMW modification while retaining a focus on balanced performance that preserves the original character and driving feel that a BMW offers. When you install a Dinan part on your car, know that it's not only carefully developed and tested, but that Dinan stands behind it with a four year, 50,000-mile warranty. Dinan believes so fully in their “total package” approach that once your car has been fitted with enough of their parts, they celebrate your conversion from stock to Dinan with an exclusive trunk badge, displayed proudly by BMW enthusiasts everywhere. The springs are worth 3 points towards your Dinan badge.

Dinan camber plates retain the factory bushings, eliminating negative effects on ride quality or the introduction of annoying noises that are common with adjustable camber plates.

Rear trailing arm bushings serve the key purpose of keeping rear suspension triangulated and the vehicle moving where it's directed to. Though failure prone, even factory-fresh OEM rubber bushings allow for deflection, causing suspension geometry changes on hard launches, over bumps in the road, and during cornering. This deflection results in clunking in the rear end, a “rear steer” feeling, and uneven tire wear.

Powerflex polyurethane rear trailing arm bushings are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in a reduction of deflection that causes these suspension angle changes, improving handling over bumps and with a proper alignment, extending tire wear.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. The Powerflex Front Sway Bar Bushings - 28.2mm (Black Series) for the BMW F10/F11 5 Series are a specialized upgrade designed for drivers who seek high-performance handling and stability, especially in demanding driving conditions like track days or spirited road use.

Key Highlights:

  1. Black Series - Track-Ready Performance: The Black Series bushings are engineered for maximum rigidity, offering far less flex than the original rubber bushings. This increased stiffness allows the sway bar to function more effectively, improving the car’s resistance to body roll and delivering a sharper, more responsive steering feel. These bushings are built for those pushing their cars to the limit on the track.

  2. Precise Handling Improvement: By upgrading the front sway bar bushings to these Black Series units, you will notice a marked improvement in handling precision. The front end becomes more composed during hard cornering, providing better feedback and quicker responses to driver inputs, crucial for high-performance driving scenarios.

  3. Superior Polyurethane Construction: Unlike factory rubber bushings that tend to degrade with time and exposure to the elements, Powerflex's polyurethane is designed to last. It resists cracking, shrinking, and softening from heat, oil, and road debris, ensuring consistent performance throughout its life. This means less maintenance and fewer replacements over time.

  4. Optimized Suspension Dynamics: These bushings ensure the sway bar stays firmly in place, allowing it to do its job of reducing body roll during sharp turns or fast driving. As a result, the car feels more stable and balanced, providing more confidence when pushing it on twisty roads or track circuits.

  5. Durability and Longevity: Built with motorsport use in mind, the Black Series bushings provide extended durability compared to stock rubber components. They maintain their form and stiffness even under high loads, making them a long-term solution for drivers who need reliability and performance in extreme conditions.

  6. Direct OEM Fit: These bushings are designed to be a direct replacement for the factory units on the 28.2mm front sway bar of the BMW F10/F11 5 Series. Installation is straightforward, making this an easy yet effective upgrade to enhance suspension performance.

Applications:

  • BMW F10 5 Series (2010-2016)
  • BMW F11 5 Series Touring (2010-2017)

If you're looking to elevate the handling of your BMW F10/F11 to track-ready levels, these Powerflex Black Series Front Sway Bar Bushings offer a significant performance boost. By enhancing the stability and responsiveness of your suspension, they make your BMW feel sharper and more controlled, transforming it into a more capable machine in high-demand driving environments.

Rear shock mounts are tasked with securing shocks while absorbing noise, vibration and harshness that would otherwise be associated with a solid mount. Factory rubber bushings are a compromise between a cushy ride and responsive handling.

Powerflex polyurethane rear shock mounts are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in better handling, a more responsive rear-end, and more efficient suspension articulation - all with minimal sacrifice to ride quality.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. The stock rubber lower shock mounts tend to fail prematurely, especially when subjected to rough track conditions. These IRP lower shock mounts utilize a monoball design that is significantly stronger and helps to eliminate deflection that is caused by soft rubber. Key Benefits: Monoball rear lower shock mount eliminates unwanted deflection, maximizing shock efficiency and performance. Allows full shock body articulation for low friction movement and reduced side loading and improved shock wear. Designed to work with stock non-M taper seat stud style shocks (not M eyelet mount type). Maintains OE shock position

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

A strut tower brace adds additional reinforcement to the front strut towers, tying them together for extra rigidity. This makes the whole structure stronger with less chassis flex. Handling and steering feel are improved with better turn-in and input with no downsides. The Dinan strut tower brace is a very high quality aluminum brace with precision machined ends that match the contours of the strut tower. Other braces simply sit on top which reduces their effectiveness. This is definitely one of the stronger strut brace designs on the market. The center bar is polished aluminum with carbon fiber inlays - an unmistakable sign of precise engineering when you open the hood.

**For vehicles with stock style springs**

When looking to dial in your steering geometry and alignment for reduced tire where and/or better track handling, the stock suspension is quite limited. To fix this, you can install Camber/Caster plates such as these plates from IRP. Camber/Caster plates allow for adjustment of the top position of the shock's mounting position. These slight adjustments have a huge impact on the stance of the of the wheel when driving straight down the road and when turning into a corner. With simple adjustments, you can increase the grip of the tires in hard turns, improve tread life, or even just make an alignment correction for a vehicle with a lowered ride height.

The IRP Camber Caster plates are made of an aircraft grade aluminum body, for strength and low weight, with an adjustable mounting plate that utilizes a steel monoball mounting point. This makes the plate resistant to corrosion and prevents deformation even with the stiffest shocks and springs.

Features:

  • Decreased understeer
  • Decreases outside edge tire wear
  • Aircraft Grade Aluminum Construction
  • Steel Monoball and Mounting Sleeves

Fits the following BMWs:

For the driver that demands the best out of their vehicle. The Dinan Adjustable Coil-Over Suspension was bred in the race lab but refined on the street for maximum versatility. No matter the environment, the traction that is awarded to the vehicle from the improved suspension will inspire newfound confidence when running at higher speeds. From the substantial reduction in body roll as well as reduction of dive under braking and squat under acceleration, Dinan guarantees you superior handling, performance, and comfort.

Dinan's design retains the superb factory electronic shocks but swaps the springs to a more aggressive, performance enhancing formula and implements threaded collars that allow the user to change the ride height themselves. While shorter, stiffer springs are commonplace in aftermarket suspensions and are a key element in reduction of body roll it is not a one size fits all approach. In the case of the G87 M2 where the vehicle has a penchant for oversteer, stiffening the rear springs would exacerbate the problem of the rear losing traction before the front when the platform is pushed to the limit. The springs combined with progressive bump stops and other components increase travel that allow the car to be lowered up to 1-1/8" in the front and over 2" inches in the rear. However, to retain the ride quality synonymous with Dinan suspension kits the recommended drop of 3/4" in front and rear is advised. For suspension connoisseurs, or those that are just simply very particular, suspension packers are included to fine-tune handling and comfort by changing the clearance of the progressive bump-stops --- something no respectable race car is without.

Contrary to the market norm, the Dinan G87 M2 kit is not a direct carryover from the G8x M3/M4 but a package independently developed to eke the most out of the M2 and the nuances that differ it from its larger siblings. The rear spring rates in particular on the smaller coupe are far more aggressive than those on the M3/M4 from the factory. This produces a stiffer, more uncomfortable ride than most are fond of beyond the racetrack. While utilizing the same rear springs as the Dinan M3/M4 kit is possible the rates would be substantially softer resulting in reduced stability in cornering and an increase in body roll. Instead, Dinan M2 rear springs are 13% softer than factory but still 10% stiffer than what the M3/M4 kit would offer so a more compliant and comfortable ride can be achieved while also retaining its sporty character and abilities.

NOTE: Due to the extensive lowering possible and the increased suspension travel, the installer must carefully evaluate tire clearance under all situations. Safety will be compromised if all precautions are not taken. Dinan is not responsible for any property damage or injury.

Features:

  • Up to 1-1/8" of lowering in front and over 2" of lowering in back are possible depending on tire clearance but with diminished ride quality
  • Dinan recommends a 3/4" drop in front and rear to maintain a civilized ride
  • Up to 1" of lift in front and over 2" in back over stock are also possible
  • Threaded collars allow easy and precise front & rear vehicle height adjustments
  • Spring rates are 29% stiffer in front and 13% softer in the rear for increased predictability and compliancy
  • Substantial reduction in body roll
  • Dinan-spec progressive bump stops improve ride quality at lowered ride heights
  • Included suspension packers allow adjustment of bump-stop clearance to fine-tune handling and comfort
  • Components are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized for a sporty appearance as well as corrosion protection
  • Stock upper spring mounts are utilized as well as spring isolators for quiet operation
  • Installation Instructions: https://documents.dinancars.com/6989ab09ca84101aa36da49807f6bf446d195cab.pdf

This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

An underrated component of a proper driver's suspension the monoball kit (tension strut ball joint kit in today's terminology), is a remnant of an era when road feel was something desirable and sought after. Drivers wanted the visceral feel of being connected to the road as the road-racing heritage of BMW M demanded. Dinan embraced this and over the years mastered its craft into a kit that not only satisfied the desire for proper road feel but also made it livable for everyday driving. While stock suspension properties may have swayed from its golden era lineage to more mainstream ideals, Dinan is here to correct those mistakes for those that want a more M-passioned BMW experience. The Dinan Tension Strut Ball Joint Kit provides responsiveness you can feel by replacing the rubber bushings in the thrust arms with precision ball joints and machined aluminum housings. Improves responsiveness by eliminating the deflection inherent in the stock rubber bushings while also reducing brake shimmy. The quietest bearings on the market are virtually noise-free so you can live with them every day. These are the only bearings on the market that are sealed using a rubber boot to keep out dirt and road grime stopping them from wearing out prematurely. Features: Improved steering responsiveness. Reduces brake shimmy. Nylon-lined bearings for quiet operation. Machined aluminum housings. Sealed bearings.
