Rear trailing arm bushings serve the key purpose of keeping rear suspension triangulated and the vehicle moving where it's directed to. Though failure prone, even factory-fresh OEM rubber bushings allow for deflection, causing suspension geometry changes on hard launches, over bumps in the road, and during cornering. This deflection results in clunking in the rear end, a “rear steer” feeling, and uneven tire wear.

Powerflex polyurethane rear trailing arm bushings are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in a reduction of deflection that causes these suspension angle changes, improving handling over bumps and with a proper alignment, extending tire wear.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Replacing your struts and shocks? Don't forget the bushings! The rubber mounts for the shocks will go bad over time, especially if you drive hard or the roads are particularly rough. The shock mounts locate the front struts and rear shocks to the car - providing a quiet and vibration-free buffer between the road and the cabin. Shock mounts and bushings can wear out just like any other rubber part on the car. This leads to more noise and harshness reaching the chassis and may complicate your new suspension install. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There is no additional time to install them, no special tools required, and doesn't take any extra time! If you re-use the original mounts you have the risk of them failing before your next shock replacement, doubling your labor costs.

Included in the E82 1-series Mount Kit:
  • front upper strut mounts (also known as a guide support), 31306775098
  • A. rear upper-top shock mounts, 33506771737
  • B. rear upper-middle shock mounts, 33506767010
  • C. rear upper-bottom shock mounts, 33506771738
  • D. rear upper supporting cup, 33526764418 (sits over bumpstop)
  • rear lower shock mount (installs on spring arm), 33526768544

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Rear shock mounts are tasked with securing shocks while absorbing noise, vibration and harshness that would otherwise be associated with a solid mount. Factory rubber bushings are a compromise between a cushy ride and responsive handling.

Powerflex polyurethane rear shock mounts are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in better handling, a more responsive rear-end, and more efficient suspension articulation - all with minimal sacrifice to ride quality.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Trailing arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle.

Includes RTAB limiter, rear shock tower reinforcement plates and BMW Strut tower plates. If you already upgraded your suspension but are looking for the finishing touch, this kit is what you need. The BMW front strut mount reinforcement plates reduce the risk of the shock tower mushrooming and cracking. The rear shock mount reinforcement plates reduce the risk of the rear shock mount area tearing and deforming. The Delrin rear trailing arm bushing limiters reduce the movement that the RTAB's can make resulting in a tighter rear suspension and with less moment prolongs the bushing life.

This right/passenger's front upper control arm - also know as a tension strut or thrust arm. This is the control arm with the outer ball joint pointing down. This is the OE BMW replacement (made by TRW) and fits E82 1M Coupe and E90/E92/E93 M3. This control arm includes the inner pressed in bushing and outer ball joint. A direct replacement from the original manufacturer.

This part can also be used as an upgrade on non-M E82, E9X, and E89 Z4 models. The inner bushing on the M3 arm is a solid rubber instead of the fluid-filled non-M design. This solid rubber part will last longer and be more responsive thanks to less deflection in the bushing. The M3 arm is a direct replacement for the stock non-M part.

New mounts should be installed whenever you are replacing the struts and shocks on your E90 and E92 3-series. The mounts keep the cabin isolated from annoying noises and impacts. Just like any other rubber mount, these will go bad over time, which allows more harshness and vibration to the chassis along with clunking noises. Replace them now to avoid doubling the labor charges down the road. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There are no special tools required and don't take any extra time!

Included in the Xi Mount Kit:
  • front upper strut mounts (also known as a guide support), 31336775097 or 31306785962
  • A. rear upper-top shock mounts, 33506771737
  • B. rear upper-middle shock mounts, 33506767010
  • C. rear upper-bottom shock mounts, 33506771738
  • D. rear upper supporting cup, 33526764418 (sits over bumpstop)
  • rear lower shock mount (installs on spring arm), 33526768544

Raises front of the rear subframe giving additional anti-squat similar to the M range. For standard subframe location use PFR5-420. Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

The main mounting bolt for the differential in the E36 is susceptible to shearing off during extreme driving conditions. This can cause internal damage to your diff, leaving you stranded at the track or on the side of the road. Active Autowerke's differential support bracket eliminates this issue forever in under an hour installation.

If E30 needs a little more pep in the corners, this is an excellent suspension package. H&R Sport springs and Bilstein Sport shocks for the E30 will lower the ride height for an aggressive stance and stiffer springs will improve handling and balance in the corners. This suspension is a favorite among our E30 fans because the car corners better without a punishing ride. Perfect for daily-driven E30s who want to carry more speed through the corners.

H&R Sport springs lower the ride height by 1.25" and stiffens the spring rate. Both combine to lower the car's center of gravity and reduce the amount of bodyroll in corners. The springs are progressive rate so their initial stiffness is actually very compliant and it becomes stiffer as the spring is compressed. This is great for street cars that see bumps and potholes where suspension compliance is key. Overall, they are about 40% stiffer than the stock original springs.

We use Bilstein Sport shocks as the dampers and they feature Bilstein's patented and innovative valving system. With this system, small bumps and impacts are absorbed as they should be. But the shocks stiffen for cornering and other suspension motions. It's the best of both worlds as the shock self-adjusts based on suspension motion. These fit with the stock strut and shock mounts, making for an easy and clean install.

    Parts list:

    • 1 set - H&R Sport Springs (50406)
    • 1 pair - Bilstein Front Sport strut inserts (P36-0335 / 34-003350)
    • 1 pair - Bilstein Rear Sport Shocks (B36-2027 / 24-020275)

Fitment note: Front strut inserts fit the larger 51mm strut housings. These were standard for all 6-cylinder E30s, all M3, and 1989-1992 318i/is. Other models used a smaller strut housing which requires a different Bilstein insert.

M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates 53-510101 are the ultimate solution for MINI owners facing the common issue of strut tower mushrooming caused by heavy impacts from shocks and low aspect ratio tires. Over time, MINI's shock towers can develop a convex shape, disrupting suspension alignment and leading to a noticeable pull to one side. The M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates (SRPs) address this problem by reinforcing the sheet metal and shock top plate, creating a durable surface that resists bending, even during hard impacts.

Designed specifically for the R50 Base Model Cooper, the R52 Convertible, and the R53 Cooper S, these SRPs are an essential upgrade for any MINI enthusiast. Constructed from CNC machined billet aluminum and black anodized for durability, the 1/2" (13mm) thick plates cover the entire surface of the strut tower, distributing loads evenly and providing peace of mind.

Whether you drive your MINI daily or push it to the limits on the track, M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates offer a cost-effective preventative measure against expensive suspension repairs. Easy to install in less than 20 minutes, the SRPs use the stock nuts for mounting and come with instructions that also guide you through fixing existing mushrooming.

    • Prevents strut tower mushrooming
    • Constructed from CNC machined billet aluminum
    • Black anodized for long-lasting durability
    • Covers the entire strut tower surface
    • Designed for R50, R52, and R53 MINI models

If you are concerned about strut tower mushrooming and looking for improved handling, the M7 Strut Tower Brace (STB) is the solution. This is the ONLY strut tower brace on the market that features anti-mushrooming technology.

Repeatedly, we've heard the same complaint: strut towers mushroom after heavy impacts from shocks and low aspect ratio tires. Initially, the shock towers take on a barely visible convex shape, but if compared to the original sheet metal, you'll find the horizontal plane has moved as much as 3/8" upwards, making alignment nearly impossible.

This issue often shows up as a slight pull to the left or right, depending on which strut tower is affected. The M7 Strut Tower Brace's end mounting plates solve this problem by sandwiching the sheet metal and shock top plate, creating a reinforced surface that won't bend, even during hard impacts.

The M7 STB features 1/2" (13mm) thick end plates that add extra strength to the strut towers, preventing mushrooming and potentially costly repairs. The cross brace significantly improves handling by adding torsional stiffness to the front body structure, helping keep your tires planted and pointed in the direction you want to go, especially during hard turns. Machined from billet aluminum and matte black powder coated, the M7 Strut Tower Brace boasts a durable black finish that looks great and won't chip or oxidize.

We have customers who won't drive their new MINI off the lot without one and dealers that sell every new MINI with either the M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates or the M7 Strut Tower Brace.

Concerned about clearance? No worries. The M7 STB profile is designed to clear both stock and aftermarket cold air intakes and ECUs. Its modular design allows easy access to the oil filter or any other accessories that might normally be blocked and require removal of the entire brace.

Installation is a snap (often taking less than 20 minutes)! No need for new nuts—the brace uses the three stock nuts on each side. Installation instructions are available online by clicking the "INSTALLATION" link on this page.

The M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates and the M7 Strut Tower Brace are two separate products that address strut tower mushrooming (you only need one or the other).

If your MINI is mainly a daily driver, the M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates are sufficient. If you have performance driving in mind, the M7 Strut Tower Brace is what you're looking for!

    Please note:

    • You cannot buy the SRPs and attach the cross-bar at a later time.
    • The brace does not directly fit on the R50 and R52 Non-"S" Cooper due to limited hood clearance of the non-supercharged cars. It will fit but may push up on the hood slightly, requiring molding or cutting of the hood insulation after installation.
    • Trimming of the underhood insulation material may be required to fully clear this brace. This is a very tight space.
