Sway bar end links connect the swaybar to the rest of the suspension, preventing body roll and keeping everything in line in tight turns. This exposes these links to a high amount of stress and pressure, often leading to split bushings and sloppy body control and knocking noises. Meyle HD sway bar links are the perfect option to restore body control and eliminate knocking noises.

What happens is the end link hardware rusts right to the integrated stud and when you go to remove/replace the end links or brackets they are one strong turn and a snap away from needing to be replaced.

Not only did ECS come up with a stronger solution with a superior resistance to corrosion but went the extra mile to incorporate hardware that can be replaced time and time again so you will never need to replace the brackets themselves. The end link brackets feature chamfers to fit perfectly in factory location and make for a straight forward install. If you have a clunking sound in the front end, the front swaybar end-link is one of the items to check. The standard plastic ball joint inside the boot will wear or crack, allowing excess motion. This is a Meyle HD part with metal ball joints that will last longer than the standard design. These links are identical to the standard links except for the ball joint and mount the swaybar to the control arm. Meyle is a German brand in business since 1958 and all of their products are TUV approved and meet or exceed ISO standards. In addition, these links come with a 4-year, unlimited mileage warranty. Sway bar bushings tend to split over time, failing to properly secure and reinforce the sway bar. If yours has begun to split or if your vehicle is more than 5 years old, it is a good idea to replace them to ensure proper sway bar operation.

To reduce the understeering affects of a staggered wheel setup you want a balanced set of sway bars. ECS has configured this anti-roll bar set for the non-M E46 with a 27mm adjustable front bar and a 21mm rear bar. The front is adjustable to two positions to fine-tune the handling and reduce understeer. The rear bar is fixed to retain the stock sway bar link. These anti-roll bars include urethane bushings with a reinforced inner liner that eliminates squeaks and doesn't require lubrication. The bars are powder coated for durability and good looks.

These bars fit in the stock locations using the existing brackets and links. Adjustable links are not required but recommended if the car is lowered or if you have coil overs (note: the rear bar is designed to only use the stock link, heavily lowered cars should not use this kit).

The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the hole(s) furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and adjust to your liking from there.
