The Supersprint X-Pipe will delete the set of resonators ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonators, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume and also changes the sound with a little more rasp and rip. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory secondary cat section and before the rear mufflers. It's also a full 70mm diameter - slightly larger than the stock piping. You will need to cut the original resonator section out of the exhaust and the Supersprint is clamped into place.

These tuned resonators replace the factory resonator in section 2 of the exhaust. Supersprint also offers this section without any resonator at all. But if noise and volume is a strong consideration for you then using resonators is a good idea. If you were building a track car with headers and no cats then resonators will help keep noise levels low. This section is 309 stainless steel and 70mm diameter pipes (a little bigger than the factory size) so this piece will flow better and be a little louder than the factory resonator.

The E60 535i got a little short-changed in the exhaust and looks department. From the rear, there is no evidence of the twin-turbo power that lies beneath. The 335 had dual exhaust; the later F10 535i had dual pipes too. But the 2007-2010 E60 535i exhaust looks just like any plain Jane 525i from the rear. Supersprint has developed two solutions to E60 owners who want that muscular dual output exhaust look. This muffler has an extra Power Loop outlet running behind the stock bumper and finished off with dual 80mm round tips on both sides. There are two ways to implement the right side tips - cutting into the stock bumper or installing a full E60 M5 rear bumper. Each Supersprint exhaust is different to match the bumper you use. Once lined up it's clear where the stock bumper needs to be modified. And if done professionally can appear as though it came from the factory.

The Supersprint 'Race' rear muffler system is one step beyond the standard Sport mufflers. Don't be fooled by the name - the 'Race' mufflers are designed for street use and the name only distinguishes it from the quieter standard Sport system. With the stock system the sound is very subdued. With the 'Race' mufflers the sound is much more noticeable and more aggressive - a perfect sound to compliment the assertive nature of an M Coupe or Roadster. You will hear this exhaust but it will not be intrusive or sound out of place on a civilized sports/GT car like the MZ4. Supersprint Racing mufflers are a lighter, louder version of their tuned street performance mufflers. Where the performance muffler must meet European noise regulations the Racing mufflers do not. This allows you to have more volume and zing to your exhaust system. Supersprint has tuned these mufflers to be aggressive but not excessively loud; just loud enough that you know they're in place. Single 90mm tips per side fill out the exhaust outlets nicely and give more definition to the rear end. These will install in place of the factory mufflers and connect to the rest of the factory 335i exhaust system.

With the stock muffler, the engine noise is dampened a lot. But if you're an enthusiast who wants to accent the 7-series with more sport then this muffler is the perfect touch. Supersprint sport cats for the E82 and E90/E92 are designed to work with their cat-less headers. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a traditional stock cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint headers (p/n 789001) and then to connecting pipes for whichever section 2 you are using (p/n 789022). This section is built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

Is the 740 exhaust too tame for your ears? Supersprint has designed this muffler to give a little more volume and presence to the exhaust without detracting from the 7-series super-luxury base. Supersprint's 50+ years of exhaust design and manufacturing give them insight and expertise into tuning the exhaust for power and sound. With the F01/F02 740 they identified both the factory center resonator and rear mufflers as opportunities for increasing volume and giving them 740 a sportier exhaust sound. With this system you have two resonator options - a freer-flowing resonated design and an option to completely delete the resonator. Both options are used with the Supersprint performance mufflers which have been engineered to work with the stock exhaust tips in the bumper (see photos). This way you can get a louder and more sporting exhaust sound and retain a factory appearance.
