The ECS N52 Muffler & Resonator Delete removes the heavy, restrictive factory muffler and replaces it with a lighter weight, high flow, T304 stainless steel 3.0" exhaust tubing. This exhaust adds a louder exhaust note in a simple, cost-effective way without replacing the entire exhaust system and is fully compatible with the OEM rear valance. This upgrade creates a noticeable increase in exhaust sound, without adding significant drone at cruising speeds. As an added bonus, the ECS muffler delete shaves off about 16 lbs, weighing in at only 22 lbs. OEM units out of the 128 weigh in at around 38lb, a difference you will fully notice when upgrading your exhaust.

Upgrading the sound:
Our exhaust allows you to turn up the volume and let the S55 roar a hearty exhaust tone. Let's be honest, what's the point of owning a S55 if you're not going to upgrade the exhaust? Our signature muffler design allows you to transfer the exhaust valve from your factory system directly onto your new Turner system. The Turner exhaust signature muffler design allows for two flow paths that change both tone and volume. With the vehicle in comfort mode, the valves remain closed, with the closed valves the exhaust system allows the gasses to flow through the muffler toning down the volume and giving a more refined exhaust note. While in driving modes sport or sport+ the valve opens and the flow path changes to a "straight flow path" essentially turning into a straight-piped exhaust for the least amount of restriction and the most amount of twin-turbo S55 sound!
How our axle-back is designed:
To create a axle-back exhaust for this incredible vehicle the upgrade happens right after the factory secondary cats. We replaced the factory components with dual 2.5" free-flowing stainless steel piping. The twin pipes make their way through the center and rear of the car without the center muffler to keep flow to a maximum! With smooth mandrel bent transitions our exhaust passes perfectly under the rear subframe for a factory equivalent fit. Positioned in the rear of the car is our signature F87 muffler with beautiful inlet and outlet piping that creates the perfect exhaust tuning. Featuring relief cut slip joints and oe-style hangers the exhaust can be fully adjusted and mounted seamlessly in the factory locations. Quad 4.0" exhaust tips are optioned to fill out the open space in the rear diffuser and complete the rear profile of the vehicle.

Supersprint's rear muffler for the 535i produces a pleasing but not intrusive exhaust sound. This muffler is considered a street upgrade system with only a modest increase in volume to give a hint of added performance without being obnoxious or annoying. This is a great muffler for altering the exhaust note without drawing attention to yourself. You can also add additional Supersprint sections to better tune the exhaust to your preferances. This muffler uses dual 80mm round tips that fills in the bumper nicely. Supersprint has also developed a dual tip system that mimics the look of an M5 or F10 535i (instead of the bland single side stock layout).

The Supersprint 'Race' rear muffler system is one step beyond the standard Sport mufflers. Don't be fooled by the name - the 'Race' mufflers are designed for street use and the name only distinguishes it from the quieter standard Sport system. With the stock system the sound is very subdued. With the 'Race' mufflers the sound is much more noticeable and more aggressive - a perfect sound to compliment the assertive nature of an M Coupe or Roadster. You will hear this exhaust but it will not be intrusive or sound out of place on a civilized sports/GT car like the MZ4. The Supersprint center pipes to delete the rear resonators for more volume can be a welcome addition.

Amongst the limited options available for the 1 Series, the engineers at ECS have risen to the challenge of providing aftermarket support for these perfectly sized vehicles.
The diffuser replaces the mundane factory M Sport diffuser with a perfectly fitting alternative, designed to enhance the rear end of the 1 Series. Using the existing factory hardware and tab mounting locations, a transformation is merely a few screws and a plastic trim tool away. During the prototype phase, an impressive fit and finish were achieved, but their commitment to excellence led them to make further refinements. With the updated design, the ECS diffuser is now polished to perfection, an indication of the craftsmanship invested in each product.
Installation is a breeze, requiring no drilling, cutting, or modifications of any kind. At the rear of the car just below the back seats, there is a factory flange with two bolts, simply remove the two bolts and barb from the factory hanger and swap with the ECS Tuning muffler delete for a direct replacement. The ECS muffler delete removes the heavy and restrictive factory exhaust muffler and replaces it with a high-flow, straight-through exhaust pipe. This adds a louder exhaust note in a simple, cost-effective way without replacing the entire exhaust system and is fully compatible with the OEM rear valance. The Supersprint rear muffler fits to the stock center exhaust and produces a sportier, slightly more aggressive exhaust note than the stock exhaust. With the stock muffler, the engine noise is dampened a lot. But if you're an enthusiast who wants to accent the 7-series with more sport then this muffler is the perfect touch. The Supersprint muffler is all stainless steel and uses a much freer flowing design to make the exhaust louder and is tuned for a more exciting sound. It's not as big of a change on the Alpina model as that came with a sports muffler already. Is the 740 exhaust too tame for your ears? Supersprint has designed this muffler to give a little more volume and presence to the exhaust without detracting from the 7-series super-luxury base. Supersprint's 50+ years of exhaust design and manufacturing give them insight and expertise into tuning the exhaust for power and sound. With the F01/F02 740 they identified both the factory center resonator and rear mufflers as opportunities for increasing volume and giving them 740 a sportier exhaust sound. With this system you have two resonator options - a freer-flowing resonated design and an option to completely delete the resonator. Both options are used with the Supersprint performance mufflers which have been engineered to work with the stock exhaust tips in the bumper (see photos). This way you can get a louder and more sporting exhaust sound and retain a factory appearance.
