Turbo inlet pipes serve two very distinct, and differing, purposes. On one hand, the optimization of a turbo inlet pipe will encourage better turbo efficiency and responsiveness by allowing the turbo to ingest more air by way of an unobstructed and larger volume flow path. On the other, you have a more visceral benefit that some may argue is equally important than that of efficiency/flow optimization --- increased sound. No matter which of the distinct purposes is favored, Dinan will deliver on both. Regardless of application, a Dinan turbo inlet replaces the weak, and failure-prone, plastic factory inlet with a more robust carbon fiber one. CNC machined fittings are utilized to ensure proper fitment and guarantee installation as a direct replacement to the OEM inlet. Beyond material and fitment however are the improvements to the characteristics of the primary element in the system, the pipe itself. The stock turbo inlet has incorporated additional features (multiple in some cases) that introduce flow restrictions and turbulence while also reducing turbo noises. All of which are unwanted but easily rectified by removing the various resonators and enlarging (and optimizing) the path for a more uniform flow. The result is an inlet that delivers not only more air and allows the turbo to be more efficient (work less) but also provides the oft-desired amplification to the turbo induction soundtrack. In the quest to be all things to all people at an attractive price point the x30i's have been reduced to a mundane, albeit pragmatic, core with elements devoid of any character both outwardly and inwardly. For example, in stock trim, the 230i/330i/430i comes with a utilitarian and lifeless air box swaddled by seemingly unfinished braces (where applicable) and housing a basic panel filter that is also accompanied by an intake resonator whose job it is to eliminate turbo/intake noises. The same noises that those in the performance world relish. Essentially, BMW has seen fit to give x30i owners an air box that looks uninspiring, flows adequately but not ideally, and emits no noise. The Dinan PEX intake for the platform rights these wrongs and delivers a semi-open intake capable of flowing 58% more air than the stock system resulting in improved throttle response and the elimination of a potential roadblock when opting to pursue a high-powered build (upgraded turbo, fueling, etc.). At the same time revealing an enhanced OEM-like appearance that blends seamlessly with surrounding factory plastic under hood components, and an increase in sound courtesy of the removal of the intake resonator and implementation of a semi-open design. To accomplish the feat in flow that sets the Dinan intake system apart the entire lower box of the system, and not just the lid, has been reworked and enlarged to make use of as much of the available real estate as possible within the engine bay. While the additional flow does not translate to any noteworthy rise in power output for stock or basic bolt-on equipped vehicles, the Dinan intake system does expand the potential of the platforms power ceiling. The OE thermal management system for the B4x/B58 G-chassis BMW and Toyota GR Supra offers an improved formula from prior generations. With a setup where engine coolant is also re-routed through the heat exchanger, the system effectively assists in overall engine cooling as well as charge cooling. However, like its predecessors, it has room for improvement as it can be overwhelmed when the system is taxed aggressively or as power levels are increased. Once overburdened, this results in the undesirable outcome of power being diminished. Avoidance of this unwelcome scenario can be attained though with a Dinan heat exchanger that improves the overall thermal management system so everything runs cooler and more efficiently while being budget-friendly. In the quest to be all things to all people at an attractive price point the 430i/330i has been reduced to a mundane, albeit pragmatic, core with elements devoid of any character both outwardly and inwardly. For example, in stock trim, the 430i/330i comes with a utilitarian and lifeless air box swaddled by seemingly unfinished braces and housing a basic panel filter that is also accompanied by an intake resonator whose job it is to eliminate turbo/intake noises. The same noises that those in the performance world relish. Essentially, BMW has seen fit to give 430i/330i owners an air box that looks uninspiring, flows adequately but not ideally, and emits no noise. The Dinan carbon fiber intake for the platform rights these wrongs and delivers a semi-open intake capable of flowing 58% more air than the stock system resulting in improved throttle response and the elimination of a potential roadblock when opting to pursue a high-powered build (upgraded turbo, fueling, etc). At the same time the Dinan kit unveils a more aggressive, sporty carbon fiber appearance, and an increase in sound courtesy of the removal of the intake resonator and implementation of the semi-open design. In order to accomplish the feat in flow that sets the Dinan intake system apart the entire lower box of the system, and not just the lid, has been reworked and enlarged in an effort to make use of as much of the available real estate as possible within the engine bay. In turn, this allows a 40% larger, custom, free flowing filter to be housed within and maximum flow to be realized. However, a secondary inlet has always been desired by Dinan in order to effectively fill the volume of the enlarged air box and increased filter surface area. This desire led to a multitude of experiments being conducted on the effectiveness of a possible open-air inlet in the system. With different shapes, locations, and sizes of openings being tested, the goal was to ensure that the added secondary inlet did not cause any unwarranted side effects such as an increase in air temps in the system. This is commonplace with open-air intake systems where overheated engine bay air is employed in the intake tract. The results of these tests showed that the patterned openings present in the final iteration of the box on the opposite side from the engine provided a perfect balance of additional volume to assist the factory snorkel all the while not causing an increase in turbo inlet temperatures. This was the case regardless of testing conditions (single/multiple gear pulls, constant speed, 0-100mph runs, etc.). While the additional flow does not translate to any noteworthy rise in power output for stock or basic bolt-on equipped vehicles, the Dinan intake system does expand the potential of the platforms power ceiling. Put simply, those striving to build a more potent and robust solution, complete with turbo and fueling upgrades, will be allowed to maximize the results without worry about the intake system being a limiting factor. Regardless of the level of build, the secondary air inlets allow the intake system to be more audible so the turbo spool and BOV can be appreciated. A stark difference from Dinan's traditional fully sealed systems where induction noise is not nearly as recognizable. Not to be outdone by the increased flow and sound, the outwardly visible system is made of immaculate carbon fiber so under-hood appeal is vastly improved over its drab and utilitarian beginnings. Turbo inlet pipes serve two very distinct, and differing, purposes. On one hand, the optimization of a turbo inlet pipe will encourage better turbo efficiency and responsiveness by allowing the turbo to ingest more air by way of an unobstructed and larger volume flow path. On the other, you have a more visceral benefit that some may argue is equally important than that of efficiency/flow optimization --- increased sound. No matter which of the distinct purposes is favored, Dinan will deliver on both. Regardless of application, a Dinan turbo inlet replaces the weak, and failure-prone, plastic factory inlet with a more robust carbon fiber one. CNC machined fittings are utilized to ensure proper fitment and guarantee installation as a direct replacement to the OEM inlet. Beyond material and fitment however are the improvements to the characteristics of the primary element in the system, the pipe itself. The stock turbo inlet has incorporated additional features (multiple in some cases) that introduce flow restrictions and turbulence while also reducing turbo noises. All of which are unwanted but easily rectified by removing the various resonators and enlarging (and optimizing) the path for a more uniform flow. In BMW's with the B58 engine, the intake system is partially limited. The bottom portion is lightweight and great for feeding cold air to the intake, but the top portion is excessively restrictive. Working with some of the original equipment, this intake continues to utilize the bottom portion of OE ducting and heat shielding, but replaces the top with a new high flow inverted performance cone filter. The Burger Motorsports JB4 Port Injection Controller attaches to the JB4 allowing it to directly control both traditional port injection kits and WMI port injection kits. The JB4 port injection controller is a fully integrated solution allowing enhanced port injection mapping and safety. For example the JB4 port injection controller: 1) Uses low fuel pressure in conjunction with boost pressure to evaluate injection pressure and adjust PI IPW dynamically as required to maintain consistent flow volume. This becomes particularly important in applications that are at the edge of their low fuel pressure supply. As low pressure drops or oscillates port injection IPW must be dynamically adjusted to avoid run lean conditions. 2) Monitors pedal input, clutch input, gear, throttle position, etc, allowing more advanced mapping and instant cut of PI when letting off the gas or when traction control kicks in to avoid backfires. 3) Monitors AFR in both banks and can cut PI flow in the event a misfire event is detected preventing a potentially lean condition. 4) Monitors current through the injectors and sends a signal back to the JB4 altering it of various problems including a clogged or disconnected injector, blown electrical fuse, loose ground, etc. 5) Monitors fuel trims in each bank and failsafe's in the event of a mismatch of more than 15% indicating a potential boost single cylinder boost leak or injector flow issue. 6) Allows easy user adjustment of overall fuel volume using linear "Fuel Bias 0-100" values by RPM, greatly reducing the typical mapping complications when making manual tuning changes. 7) Integrates into the JB4 multi-map system which produces on-the-fly PI mapping changes when you change maps when boost is reduced in lower gears, or during anti-lag engagement. 8) When equipped with a JB4 integrated flex fuel sensor or JB4 virtual flex fuel sensor can automatically adjust port injection volume based on the E85 mixture allowing for easy mixture changes. 9) Enhanced mapping logic such as tip in supplement to boost port injection during sudden transitions like spool up or gear changes where the high-pressure pump tends to have problems keeping up. 10) Does not require a separate interface and cable for mapping and tuning port injection. It's all done right through the JB4 interface and logs greatly simplifying the process. 11) Includes an extra output to run your second fuel pump OR WMI PUMP (for port injection meth), eliminating the need for an extra Hobbs switch.

Normally you'd replace the factory charge pipe to install a water/methanol kit but in the case of the B58 engine, the factory charge pipe is very sturdy and difficult to remove. So we've designed this plug and play adapter for quick installation and removal of BMS dual nozzle water/meth kits without having to replace the factory charge pipe. Simply unscrew three bolts, insert the CNC machined adapter with integrated o-ring in place, and tighten the included longer length bolts, to allow mounting of two meth nozzles with a perfect seal. Includes dual 1/8" NPT methanol bungs appropriately machined for a clean spray pattern which is critical for proper atomization with the B58 motor. For most B58 water/methanol applications we suggest dual CM5 nozzles.

JB4 compatible! ​Water/Methanol/Alcohol injection commonly referred to as WMI allows you to make tremendous amounts of power on pump gas. The effect is similar to running 100 octane race gas or E85 fuel all the time with the additional cooling benefits allowing for more power than you can make on race gas or E85 alone. For those that don't have easy E85 access WMI adds a on of power over pump gas, and for those running E85 WMI can still be very useful for its charge air cooling and fuel volume benefits. The key to a safe and effective WMI setup is tuning integration. The B58 BMS WMI kit integrates to the JB4 tuning system allowing for precise mapping based on boost, throttle position, engine speed, intake temperature, advance, gear, and other data elements available to the JB4 through its CANbus system. In addition, a pump flow signal is fed back to the JB4 allowing for a safe and smooth progressive boost mapping. If the tank runs empty or flow drops for any reason the JB4 will safely back down performance to avoid detonation. Boost is held low until WMI is properly flowing to avoid tip in knock common with non-integrated WMI setups. In addition WMI can be activated or disabled right from the JB4 Mobile app and will automatically disengage during traction control or safety map situations. WMI flow data can be displayed via your JB4 Mobile logging device. This water/methanol injection (WMI) tank is a completely custom design that neatly hides away in the left side trunk cavity found in most G20 G22 & G80 M3 & G82 M4 BMW vehicles. Choose single or dual nozzles and match the flow rate to your power needs! ​Water/Methanol Injection (WMI) nozzles are determined by the intended power and how many bungs your charge pipe has. These nozzles are 1/8” NPT and screw in to bungs included on most aftermarket charge pipes. BMS "super atomizing" nozzles are designed and manufactured by BMS and are known for their great atomization and flow characteristics. The number on the methanol injection nozzle represents the approximate gallons per hour of fluid when at full flow. Generally speaking running two smaller nozzles is preferred to one larger nozzle for an equal flow to improve fluid atomization and distribution.
