After these are welded, they’re test-fitted on multiple jigs to ensure proper fitment and a reliable, leak-free connection. Each VRSF charge pipe is finished in a durable wrinkle black powder-coated finish that blends in perfectly with the engine bay. With a double o-ring seal design on the chargepipe flange that attaches to the turbo, this chargepipe is designed to withstand up to 40+psi of high boost. The factory charge pipes are made of plastic, which is fine for stock boost levels but does not hold up well under higher boost levels. The solution is to replace that plastic piece with a hard aluminum one from Evolution Racewerks. 6061 high-grade aluminum not only stands up to whatever you can throw at it, but it looks great at the same time.
