The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at Turner, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.

If you plan on turning up the boost on your car these charge pipes are a must-have! Full aluminum charge pipes ready to install in factory location.

S58 equipped cars are an absolute weapon on the road and track. Although BMW has upgraded their charge pipe design they are no match for the upgraded FTP charge pipes.

In years past the BMW charge pipes were made from flimsy plastic that ended up failing rather quickly and/or blowing apart due to the constant heat cycling in the engine. For the S58 BMW stepped it up a notch with a combination of rubber piping with aluminum flanges. The issue with the rubber hoses are that they can expand and contract which allow for fluctuating pressure and over time, failure. When upgrading to the full aluminum charge pipes you get a constant hold of pressure to keep your turbos, engines, and computer happy with consistent pressure.

The FTP charge pipes come with all the necessary o-rings, clamps, flanges, and oem mounting for a direct and simple installation.

Features and benefits:

Upgraded aluminum that wont expand under pressure
Smooth flow path
Durable black powder coat
OE mounting for DIRECT FITMENT
Clips, flanges, seals included for installation

BMW plastic intake and turbo inlet pipes are known to crack or split, leading to CELs and rough running issues. These aluminum turbo inlet and intake pipes from FTP Motorsport are designed to directly replace the stock plastic pipes, giving you peace of mind and increased intake airflow. Constructed using 6061 aluminum, these pipes are lightweight while being significantly stronger and more durable than the OE plastic turbo inlet pipes.

BMW's S58 engine relies on a network of five charge pipes to deliver pressurized air to the intake manifold. While most of these rubber lines hold up well, the factory plastic 2-to-1 charge pipe is a known weak point, often prone to cracking or splitting under pressure, leading to unwanted boost leaks and performance loss. Over time, the OEM plastic pipe becomes brittle due to constant exposure to high temperatures and elevated boost levels. This issue is especially common for vehicles running upgraded turbos or increased boost pressure. FTP Motorsport has developed a high-strength aluminum replacement designed to eliminate this failure point entirely. Built to handle extreme temperatures and high-boost applications, this upgrade delivers both reliability and performance. Unlike the factory’s oval-shaped pipe, the FTP version features round tubing, minimizing turbulence and promoting smoother airflow. The result? Sharper throttle response, improved efficiency, and increased power output.
