Active Autowerke’s G8X Valved Rear Exhaust section is the result of over 40 years of BMW-specific R&D. While the primary goal is a superior sound signature, the engineering team focused heavily on optimum exhaust flow and weight reduction. By replacing the dense factory muffler assembly with a streamlined stainless steel unit, this exhaust reduces weight hanging off the rear of the car while maximizing exhaust gas scavenging.
