The Ate DOT 5.1 fluid is a low viscosity formula for modern ABS and DSC systems. BMW recommends low viscosity brake fluid for all chassis beginning with the E60 5-series. Low viscosity (LV) is a thinner fluid that works better than a normal fluid in the small channels and passageways in the ABS/DSC pump. Using the heavier fluid will result in a delayed response to ABS and DSC activation and a spongy feel in the brake pedal (only during ABS stops). A low viscosity fluid replacing DOT 4 fluid. Boiling point - Dry 265°C (509°F) / Wet 180°C (347°F) Sold per liter (1,000mL).

The steering rack is the heart of your car’s handling—turning every movement of the wheel into precise control at the tires. When it begins to fail, you’ll feel it: loose or sloppy steering, uneven tire wear, fluid leaks, or clunks and vibrations while driving. A worn rack doesn’t just affect drivability—it can compromise safety and put extra strain on your entire steering system. Installing a new steering rack gives you: Exact control – Brings back sharp, responsive steering. Reliable performance – Seals up leaks and protects the hydraulic system. Quiet, smooth operation – Eliminates clunks, binding, and uneven feedback. Upgrade to a fresh steering rack and restore the confident, precise handling your car was engineered to deliver.

The camshaft position sensor is essential for assisting the engine DME by monitoring the camshaft's position. The data from this sensor is key to optimizing ignition timing and ensuring smooth engine performance. Often referred to as the CMP sensor, this component is crucial for the overall functionality of the powertrain. A failing camshaft position sensor can cause a range of issues, including engine stumbling, hesitation during acceleration, power loss, and even starting difficulties or complete failure to start.

A power steering rack is a crucial component in a vehicle's power steering system, particularly in modern cars. Its primary function is to assist the driver in steering by transmitting the steering input from the steering wheel to the wheels of the vehicle. This assists in making steering easier, especially at low speeds or when maneuvering in tight spaces. There are several reasons why you might need to replace a power steering rack: Leakage: Over time, the seals in the power steering rack can wear out, leading to fluid leakage. This can result in a loss of power steering assistance and potentially damage the rack itself. Damage: The power steering rack is exposed to various stresses and strains while driving. Accidents, rough road conditions, or hitting curbs can damage the rack, causing it to malfunction or fail completely. Wear and Tear: Like any mechanical component, the power steering rack can wear out over time due to regular use. This can lead to increased play in the steering, making it feel loose or unresponsive. Noise: A worn or damaged power steering rack can produce unusual noises while steering, such as squealing, groaning, or clunking sounds. This could indicate internal damage or misalignment that requires replacement. Loss of Steering Assist: If the power steering rack fails completely, you may lose power steering assistance altogether. This can make steering very difficult, especially at low speeds or when parking.
