From years of European automotive experience, the enthusiasts at ECS Tuning have developed a strong understanding of what it takes to produce a high-quality brake pad. After thousands of miles and many different pad compounds, they've landed on the ideal blend for the new DD23 "Daily Driver" brake pad! This enthusiast-developed pad offers confident stopping power, very low dust, quiet braking, and a positive initial bite. The perfect choice for your daily-driven Euro!
If you find yourself “pumping the brakes” over the brake pad selection process for your daily driver, your answer is this DD23 pad. This is the one!
As a team of enthusiasts who own all types of European cars, we have the advantage of the exposure that comes with the enthusiast lifestyle - and have a strong understanding of what makes a great brake pad. In the pursuit of a really great brake pad for daily driving, we’ve tested a wide range of brake pads. After thousands of test miles, iterating through a variety of pad compounds, we’ve landed on the ideal blend for our DD23 Daily Driver ceramic pad.
Features:
Good stopping power - Brake pads need to stop your car, period, so this is key. We focused on selecting a compound that offers a healthy level of friction (both when hot and when cold) for safe, positive stopping power.
Positive initial bite - You should feel your brakes engage as you press the pedal, but it should not feel like an on/off switch! Advanced ceramic composition means you’ll enjoy a smooth transition on and off of the brake pedal, meaning your passengers will have a comfortable ride in stop-and-go traffic. We’ve hit a good balance here.
Very low-dust - Some factory-installed pads are eye-poppingly dusty, which is a no-go for us. Thanks to the composition of this ceramic pad, which is copper-free and contains a negligible amount of other metals, dust is both lighter in color and very limited in amount. We’ve improved on the “dust factor” without sacrificing on bite and stopping power as a good compromise, which will be a win for anyone who doesn’t detail daily (or anyone who does, too!)
Quiet braking - It’s not a race pad, so it shouldn’t squeal like one. Extremely low metallic composition means they will not squeal. DD23 is comfortable and quiet - both on the ears and in lack of vibration transmitted through the cabin.
Long life - This should be an obvious one. Your daily driver pads should last and last, so that was key in selecting our ideal compound. This is another benefit to having ceramic material composition versus a softer organic pad (which have higher metallic and various organic elements) and wear much faster. Ours are kind to rotors, too (no accelerated wear characteristics) for many miles of motoring.

From years of European automotive experience, the enthusiasts at ECS Tuning have developed a strong understanding of what it takes to produce a quality high-performance brake pad. After thousands of miles and many different pad compounds, they've landed on the ideal blend for the new EP24 "Enthusiast Performance" brake pad! If you're looking for a streetable, track-capable, performance brake pad, look no further than the ECS EP24!
Features & Benefits:
Strong stopping power - Increased coefficient of friction offers satisfying stopping power when cold (a necessity for a street pad!) and even more G-force-inducing power when they warm up. With cold and warm friction comparable to Hawk HPS (and higher than many other street pads) the stopping experience with the EP24 pad is impressive for street-driven vehicles on streetable tires. Positive initial bite - Race pads have the reputation of acting like an on/off switch, which is a no-go for a pad for a street application. The EP24 offers OE-level initial bite for low-stress braking in stop-and-go situations. Reasonable dust - Race pads utilize a high metallic composition. Pads that use high amounts of metal not only dust terribly, but also will bake onto wheels with high temperatures and are a bear to clean. This is not the case with these performance street pads. Now using these pads on most of our shop cars, we’ve found over time that dust is comparable to factory pads in most applications (with greatly improved braking performance). Quiet braking - It’s not a race pad, so it shouldn’t squeal like one. While not as quiet as our ceramic DD23 pad, you’ll still be able to drive your spouse to dinner. Long life - This should be an obvious one. Even in a performance pad, your daily driver pads should last and last, so that was key in selecting our ideal compound. This compound wears slower and is kinder to rotors than two of the top competitors.
EP24 "Enthusiast Performance" brake pads are included in our Lifetime Replacement Program for worry-free motoring.

The ultimate upgrade when it comes to improving stopping power!
Complete with stunning, British-engineered six-piston calipers and all the hardware you need to completely replace all equivalent components of the front axle of your vehicle’s stock braking system, these complete kits give a firmer and more responsive brake pedal feel and allow you to drive much longer without the onset of brake fade.
EBC Racing Brake Kits come with fully‐floating 2‐piece rotors as standard. These rotors allow the cast iron rotor ring to float independently of the hub, preventing disc cracking and leading to reliable performance even when subjected to the most demanding driving conditions.
This kit comes with everything you need in the box and a detailed vehicle-specific installation pack, including race-spec brake fluid for the final system bleed.
Key Features:
Apollo-Series 6-Piston Calipers
Two-piece bolted design that incorporates high-tensile 12.9-grade steel bolts for reinforcement of the caliper bridge section (computer FEA analysis shows that this offers significant improvements in caliper stiffness compared to a monobloc design) Machined from heat-treated low-pressure castings (this offers a noticeable performance advantage over conventional gravity cast calipers, exhibiting higher overall strength and a comparable caliper body stiffness to forging) High-temperature fluid seals coupled with full boot-type dust seals give maximum protection against road grime and debris Lightweight, hard-anodized aluminium staggered pistons with serrated/castellated piston noses that reduce heat transfer into the braking hydraulics Every single brake caliper pressure tested to 2,500psi Uses standard pad shapes, giving choice when selecting brake pads Fully-Floating Two-Piece Discs
Fully-floating 355x32mm two-piece discs that allow the outer ring to expand freely in response to heat (this reduces stress which in turn extends disc life and reduces the tendency for disc cracking during extreme use) Drive bobbins machined from a single piece of stainless steel giving maximum strength and corrosion resistance (this reduces maintenance requirements and ensures the outer ring continues to float freely over time) Disc rings feature 48 directional internal curved vanes for improved cooling Unique ‘Swept Groove’ slot design for effective evacuation of braking dust and gases whilst ensuring good initial bite on brake application Now featuring the latest thermic black corrosion-resistant finish – the very latest in rust prevention Bluestuff™ NDX Performance Brake Pads
Now road legal in most markets, Bluestuff™ NDX combines excellent cold bite with the capability to perform well in short spells of track/race conditions Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
Every hose has a stainless-steel braided exterior that prevents a phenomenon known as ‘ballooning’, this braided exterior prevents the spongey feel of OE rubber lines and provides greater precision and feel under braking Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid
Every kit is supplied with 1 litre of BF307+ super DOT 4 brake fluid. This fluid has a 310°C boiling point – a significantly higher boiling point than standard DOT 5.1 fluid Having such a high boiling point gives the braking system exceptional endurance, allowing you to push hard for extended periods without heat soak causing the fluid to boil and resulting in fade

The caliper sliding bolts are one of the most overlooked wear items in your braking system. Subjected to constant motion and often without adequate lubrication the guide bolts see a lot of wear and tear. Factory BMW caliper guide bolts are very expensive from the dealer - these 304 stainless steel bolts are less than half the price and provide outstanding resistance to corrosion and wear. They are manufacturered with tighter tolerances than the factory bolts too.
Price is per bolt unless noted (2 required per caliper).
