Chrome is so Seventies!!! These replacement front grilles eliminate the traditional (but dated) chrome BMW kidney / center grilles in favor of the stealthier look of matte black or carbon fiber. These shadow-style pieces feature factory-style clips and installation. Blackline grilles give your BMW a darker, more aggressive look without being over done. We offer these grills for a wide variety of BMWs, and use them on our own personal BMWs for that aggressive stealth look. They are made from impact resistant long life ABS polymer. These install in minutes, and cost less than the cost of a pair of new factory BMW grilles, making them simple and cost effective. Autotecknic has designed replacement carbon fiber grille surrounds composed of 100% Dry carbon fiber material resulting in an extremely durable frame and an OEM fit. The grille surrounds are composed of carbon fiber and the OEM frame is reused. Comes as a set for left and right side. Perfect for replacing lost, damaged, or faded surrounds or if you simply want an upgrade from the normal black inserts. Dry carbon fiber's name also comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold, and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to properly cure. This particular method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the “wet” method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means that there are fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets that form in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced.
