AutoTecknic was established in 2000 and has since become one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of carbon fiber parts and accessories for a wide variety of manufacturers. Autotecknic has designed replacement carbon fiber grille surrounds composed of 100% Dry carbon fiber material resulting in an extremely durable frame and an OEM fit. The grille surrounds are composed of carbon fiber and the OEM frame is reused. Perfect for replacing lost, damaged, or faded surrounds or if you simply want an upgrade from the normal black inserts. Dry carbon fiber's name also comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold, and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to properly cure. This particular method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the “wet” method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means that there are fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets that form in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced.
