Made in the USAAs much of an "Ultimate Driving Machine" it is, many BMW models unfortunately suffer from weak points in the chassis. Over the years we have uncovered many weak or failure-prone areas in the chassis and have developed our own reinforcing solutions for them. And we continue to be the leading experts on BMW chassis reinforcing. Failures can come from a number, or combination, of causes: improper maintenance, age and mileage, poor design, environmental factors, poor repair work, and over-stressing modifications. The longer you let your car go without repairing or reinforcing these areas, the closer it gets to crumbling apart. Our chassis reinforcement kits are designed to first identify potential weak points and then strengthen and reinforce the existing design.

Most of our kits are not labor intensive although welding is usually required. If you suspect your chassis may have structural problems we recommend taking it to a well-known bodyshop or restoration shop. (find out who your local BMW dealer uses - we sell many of our kits to dealer-authorized repair shops). Making the preventative fix simple and effective is better than a long and complicated repair after the failure. Our kits are not usually used for fixing existing damage (only your body shop can determine the correct course of action). But our kits have been proven under extreme conditions on racetracks around the world to prevent many of the costly - and dangerous - chassis problems.

The upper rear shock bolts to the sheetmetal in the folding top well on convertible models. As the mileage goes up more and more stress is put on this sheetmetal and it can actually tear away from the rest of the chassis. Look for lttle cracks originating from the mouning holes. This reinforcement plate helps spread the shock loads around the sheetmetal and reduce stress in localized areas. Price is for the pair.

Ultra Racing specializes in manufacturing and designing chassis reinforcing bracing using a "one-Piece" design for the best resistance to chassis movement. Their philosophy is based on a strong reliable and safe design allowing both an improvement to handling and rigidity of the car. Ultra Racing's front strut tower brace connects to the top of the front strut towers, and prevents the chassis from flexing during cornering. It makes the chassis more rigid, resulting in better handling by preventing the strut towers from flexing, and also helps with shock tower loads and equally dispersing force through the chassis. This front strut bar comes in a one-piece design that provides more rigidity and overall performance compared to a front strut bar that is multi-pieced. By installing an Ultra Racing front strut bar, your vehicle will experience less chassis flex and better handling over road bumps and through corners. Features: ASTM A500 Grade A (American US Standard Mild Steel) Brackets are made of 4MM to 5MM steel plates Tubing Thickness: 1.2MM to 1.6MM thickness WARRANTY Each product comes with a unique serial number found on the silver tag. This is for authentication. All products are backed by a 5 year manufacturing warranty from the date you received your products. Warranty covers welds and metal snaps. If products are re-powder-coated a color other than the original white, warrantying may be on either a case-by-case basis or voided. If you live in an area that sees snow, warranty is limited to 1 year. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Vehicles with high mileage, body damage, or old age may have chassis flex that will cause mounting points for bracing to not line up perfectly.
