Smoke leak detectors are an essential tool for troubleshooting vacuum leaks. Pin-holes in rubber intake boots and plastic CCV components are hard to locate, leading many to take their car to a diagnostic professional in frustration. Thankfully, Race German offers this smoke leak detector for less than half of what a shop would charge for a single diagnosis.
Race German designed this kit to be versatile and simple. Unlike many other systems on the market, this device requires no compressor input for operation. The 2-way hand pump is used for pumping the smoke into your intake system. The smoker is powered by your vehicle's battery, further enhancing the versatility of this product.

- 3.5" MAF Adapter (For Vehicles Using the Euro or 540i 3.5" HFM)
To use the leak detector, simply plug the smoke tip adapter into a vacuum line (the main brake booster vacuum hose is a great choice). Using the hand pump will push the smoke through this vacuum source to reveal any existing vacuum leaks.
