The exhaust VANOS hub on the S54 has a common failure point where the tabs that lock into the oil pump disk can break, causing loss of VANOS function or engine damage. This VAC exhaust hub is the perfect upgrade or replacement for your already broken hub. The larger engagement tabs fit the holes on the pump disk for a more secure fit to avoid the hammering of the factory hub faces that cause the broken tabs.
