This Fuel Injector Replacement Kit includes new injectors and hardware to service your fuel injection system, eliminating rough idle, low power, and check engine lights due to faulty fuel injectors.
The fuel injectors in your BMW are the cornerstone of its high-pressure direct injection (DI) system. Unlike traditional port-injection setups, DI injectors are seated directly within the combustion chamber. This configuration allows for a highly atomized fuel mist and precise timing, but it also subjects the injector tips to extreme thermal loads, high cylinder pressures, and consistent carbon fouling.
Over time, these harsh operating conditions degrade the injector’s internal tolerances and nozzle integrity. This degradation results in compromised spray patterns and inaccurate fuel metering, which can manifest as:
Reduced Power Output - Inefficient combustion due to poor atomization
Fuel Trim Imbalances - Lean or rich running conditions that can trigger "Check Engine" lights
Drivability Issues - Rough idling, erratic acceleration, or persistent misfires
Decreased Efficiency - Noticeable drops in fuel economy
When one injector fails, the remaining injectors are likely nearing the end of their service life as well. This Fuel Injector Replacement Kit is designed to provide a complete service to the fuel injection system.
Since BMW classifies the majority of the high-pressure fuel system hardware as single-use (stretch) bolts, reusing old fasteners can lead to improper torque-to-yield specs and potential fuel leaks. To ensure a professional-grade installation, we have bundled the injectors with all the required Genuine BMW hardware.
