The BMW E28 M5 and E24 M6, two iconic early M cars, have solidified their status as sought-after classics from the 1980s. However, the cooling systems from that era fall short when compared to modern designs, often presenting issues with durability and efficiency. To tackle this problem, CSF and A/C Solutions collaborated to create a High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator specifically for the E28 and E24, combining superior cooling performance with a precise factory fit.

The original OE radiator featured an aluminum core paired with plastic end tanks—a design notorious among BMW enthusiasts for eventual failures, such as leaks at the seams or cracking plastic tanks caused by years of heat cycling.

CSF's Classic Series Radiator offers significant upgrades over the original design, most notably its advanced all-aluminum construction. Built with TIG-welded, 100% aluminum materials, this radiator provides enhanced strength, durability, and longevity, ensuring it can withstand even the most demanding driving conditions. With a 1-row 31mm aluminum core, CSF's B-tube technology, and nearly twice the number of cooling fins and tubes compared to the OE radiator, the new design delivers exceptional cooling performance. Additionally, its multi-louvered fins are optimized to maximize airflow, ensuring superior thermal efficiency. The radiator installs seamlessly in the factory location, requiring no modifications or cutting.

Another thoughtful upgrade is the addition of a drain plug. Unlike the factory radiator, which lacks this feature, CSF's new design simplifies tasks like coolant flushes or engine removals, making maintenance more convenient for enthusiasts. This small but practical detail further enhances the overall user experience.
