Whether it is installing new wider wheels, tires, brake ducts, shocks, or springs, there could be a rubbing issue on the inside of your fender well. Our rack stops will help protect your investment. Rack stops are spacers that install inside of the tie rod and limits the amount of steering travel. You can save the costs of replacing rubbing tires, worn out brake ducts, cut shock reservoir hoses, and broken underside plastic panels. There is also the added benefit of knowing you can turn the steering wheel to full lock and not be worried that the wheels will rub. Our rack stop length is the approximate length that will be removed from the outside tire wall�s path. For example, if a 16mm rack stop is used, there will be 16mm more clearance for a brake duct between the fender well and the edge of the tire. Included with this kit: 2 Delrin rack stops, 1 black (driver�s side), 1 white (passenger�s side), 2 Locking plates (only needed on E36), 4 zip ties, detailed instructions.

Not only does our Roll Center Correction Race Kit correct your roll center and improve handling, but it also provides increased steering response and bump steer correction. Thanks to the use of our rack limiters, you can maintain the same steering angle as before, while drastically decreasing steering wheel input. After the kit was installed on our E36 M3 test vehicle equipped with a Z3 2.7 turn lock to lock steering rack, it only required 2 full turns lock to lock. A reduction of 26%! Bump steer is also correctable to virtually 0, thanks to spacers to adjust tie rods up or down. When you lower a car, it drastically changes the geometry of the suspension. While lowering a car makes it handle better by lowering the center of gravity, the roll center is negatively impacted, increasing the roll moment, which causes cornering forces to have more of an effect on the body roll of the vehicle. This is normally ignored because the stiffer lowering springs make the issue less noticeable, but ultimately grip is lost, and body roll is increased. Once the roll center has been corrected it is immediately apparent how much the performance of the vehicle had been suffering prior. By correcting the outer ball joint location with our Roll Center Correction Race Kit, the instantaneous center of rotation is raised, bringing the roll center much closer to the center of gravity, and significantly decreasing roll movement. This minimizes body roll, provides more grip, and ultimately leads to an improved and predictable driving feel. Roll Center can be a rather complex concept. Let’s break it down: On a McPherson front suspension vehicle, both the top of the strut and lower control arm sit at an angle. If you were to draw 2 lines, one from the upper strut mount perpendicular to the steering axis (line through lower ball joint and upper strut mount pivot) and another from the control arm outer and inner ball joint/pivot, Where they intersect is called the instantaneous center of rotation. This is the point about which the suspension is rotating at that instant. Now, noting the vertical center of the car, draw another line from the bottom of the center of the tire contact patch, to the instantaneous center of rotation. Where this line intersects with the vertical center of the car is where your “roll center” is. The distance between the roll center, and the center of gravity is called the “roll moment”. The larger the distance, the larger the body roll. By decreasing the distance between your center of gravity and your roll center, you can decrease the amount of body roll, and decrease suspension geometry change, and ultimately gain better handling. This hub adapter allows installation of a MOMO steering wheel (or any steering wheel that uses the same 6 bolt pattern / specs of a MOMO) to an E36 3 series and Z3. Includes everything pictured -- hub, slip ring, and hardware.

This is the most correct hub to use for any E36 Street car. It has the built-in copper contact riing for the horn and a tab for cancelling the turn signals. Because this hub was originally designed for an E36 without an airbag, it will require resistors t keep the SRS warning light off. Resistors are available at any local electronics store for just a few dollars. All that is needed for installation is some basic knowledge of wiring connections. This hub features a crushable base, not a solid piece, making it safer for street cars.

A simple yet effective way to remove your power steering and loop the steering rack, allowing fluid and air to continually circulate within. their popular power-steering delete is machined from a solid block of aluminum. If you've already removed your power steering, this is a great way to stop any unwanted leaks from the "hose mod". The reason you need a power-steering delete that actually loops the two banjo bolts is to not only to let any residual fluid pass from one side of the rack to the other but also to let the air inside flow freely from one side to the other. Without this pass-through, you will be compressing the air inside of your rack on each side when you turn the wheel, making it harder to steer, and eventually blowing out the seals. The factory E36 u-joint utilizes a rubber coupling which cracks over time, causing sloppy steering. This upgraded U-joint from the E34 eliminates the rubber coupling, giving a direct and tight steering feel, a great modification for older E36s. This is also a direct replacement for BMW # 32311151454. Installation Note: Since the E36 did not have a provision on the lower part of the shaft for a pinch bolt, you will need to drill one to make this u joint work. Don't fret, this not a hard task. Simply install the u joint onto the e36 shaft and take a drill that same size as the bolt hole and drill through the aluminum shaft. Keep in mind this does not ruin your E36 steering shaft. If you ever wanted to go back to the stock application, it would all still work.
