BMW is known for a lot of good things. Cupholders aren't one of them. Especially if you've been blessed with E9x or E6x cupholders, you know that replacing your cupholders can be the difference between a good date and a bad date.
The E36 cupholders are infamous for barely being able to reliably hold any beverages and they usually end up spilling all over the interior. Race German has designed a solution that allows your drinks to sit behind the armrest which eliminates any interference with shifting. These dual cup holders are completely plug and play. To install, simply remove the stock rear ashtray, and install the cupholder. The E36 dual cupholder even uses the same two screws for installation. Features: Two cupholders (diameter sizes up to 3.25") Pocket compartment for your phone, sunglasses, coins etc. The cup holder is 3D printed PETG material (high temperature resistant compared to PLA, PLA will warp in hot climates). Note: This design is recommended only for E36 center consoles with arm rests. This cupholder has not been tested on earlier cars that came without an armrest.

Race German's single cupholder drastically improves the function of the stock cupholder. The insert is completely plug and play and heightens the taper diameter size to 3 inches, and steps up to 3.5" to hold even larger bottles or mugs. Note: This cupholder will only work with E36s that have the modular design center console. This will not work on fixed design consoles. It will only work in the front cupholder, not the one underneath the armrest. Please see the last picture to verify this is the type of center console you have before purchasing.
