Supersprint sport exhaust for the E39 combines a pleasing tone with subtle appearances for an elegant exhaust upgrade. This Supersprint piece is the rear muffler with a connecting pipe to the stock exhaust. The muffler is a sport straight-through design leading to moderate power and torque gains along with a sporty sound. The new exhaust note is a little throatier and with more burble than the stock exhaust. The original muffler is just too quiet for any car enthusiast owner and this Supersprint system works perfect as an audio and performance upgrade with no downside.

Supersprint exhaust is widely recognized as the leader in complete exhaust system upgrades - extremely high quality, well designed for optimal flow, and amazing sound. Even at a premium price Supersprint is an unbeatable exhaust system because every aspect is done to such a high level. A Supersprint exhaust rewards you with a terrific sound, long lasting construction and excellent fitment. The Supersprint sound is very 'European' which fits the sporting sophistication of BMWs perfectly. Most systems are also modular - sections can be added or removed to custom tailor the exhaust sound to your preferance. Aside from 'Race' systems, their mufflers meet European noise laws so you get a refined and tuned sound without being excessively loud. Most Supersprint systems are built with larger diameter piping to improve exhaust flow which helps the engine do less work and make more horsepower! Supersprint exhausts generally run at a premium over other systems but no other system on the market can match their quality, performance, or reputation!

All E39 fitment note: the fitment of this muffler is designed for the stock E39 rear bumper. The tips will sit below the bumper line. Supersprint produces a different muffler for the 540i M-Sport rear bumper (Supersprint #785926).

525i/530i fitment note: the Supersprint section 2 resonator-delete is used for all 6-cylinder E39 but the factory center resonator is different for the 525i/530i models. Instead of a slip-fit or clamp-on connection it must be welded at an existing seam on the exhaust. The whole exhaust must be removed for this installation. Refer to this image for an illustration. This does not apply if you're only installing the muffler (with small connecting pipe).
