We sell only OE supplier or approved aftermarket upgrade radiators for your BMW. It seems BMW took some shortcuts when it came to radiator design and used weak materials like plastic for critical connection points. If you are tracking older models like E30, E36, or E46, you probably are well aware of these issues. As these cars age, the plastic pieces become more brittle and failure prone. The solution is to replace with upgraded radiators that perform as upgrades for the original, failure prone radiator to avoid being left on the side of the road or, worse yet, the track.

This radiator is made by Nissens, an original equipment supplier to BMW. The cooling system is a weak point on most BMWs, causing many BMWs to develop issues in as few as 50,000 miles. Overheating your engine can and usually will result in large repair bills and sometimes a warps the cylinder head(s), requiring intensive repair or full replacement. Part of any cooling system overhaul on the 540i or 740i/iL should include a service for the automatic transmission heat exchanger (cooler). This block takes coolant from the radiator and uses it to cool the oil for the transmission. A blocked or faulty transmission cooler can lead to major transmission faults, harder or hesitating shifts, or even complete transmission failure. We recommend getting 2 new o-rings while replacing the the heat exchanger. il As part of every cooling system service we recommend cleaning or replacing the heat exchanger itself and the replacement of the hoses leading to it (see separate product).

When doing any sort of repair or maintenance there is no replacement for genuine factory parts. Turner Motorsport carries the Genuine BMW brand with pride and has the parts you need to complete your next project with confidence.​
