This cat section will mount to the Supersprint merge collectors and then to a Supersprint or stock section 2. These are built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

The Supersprint Crossover Pipe will delete the rear resonator ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonator, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume so it's recommended that this is done after changing or removing mufflers. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory secondary cat section and before the rear mufflers. It's a direct install with Supersprint mufflers but any other set of mufflers may require custom professional installation to achieve a perfect fit.

These pipes fit after the headers and will eliminate the second set of cats in the stock exhaust. By deleting the secondary cats you remove a significant blockage in the exhaust flow - increasing horsepower and improving reliability for track or competition cars. The Supersprint 'Race' rear muffler system is one step beyond the standard Sport mufflers. Don't be fooled by the name - the 'Race' mufflers are designed for street use and the name only distinguishes it from the standard Sport system. With the stock system the sound is very subdued. With the 'Race' mufflers the sound is much more noticeable and more aggressive - a perfect sound to compliment the assertive nature of an M6. You will hear this exhaust but it will not be intrusive or sound out of place on a civilized sports/GT car like the M6. This full Supersprint exhaust for the V8 645ci and 650i will punch up the sound to give your car a more athletic and sporting experience. The stock system incorporates a muffler and two sets of resonators and is very good at keeping engine noise at luxury-car levels but if you've wanted more of that V8 growl to come through this Supersprint system should be just right.
