Generally seen as something to keep an eye on, this is not something that should be put off. The upgraded Bavarian Autosport gasket is made from a DuPont Viton rubber that has a higher temperature and chemical resistance than the stock gasket material. This gasket should last the lifetime of the engine without breaking down and leaking like the Genuine BMW parts do.
