ABS (Antilock Brake System) wheel speed sensors tell the ABS controller when wheels lose traction and lock up during braking. Individual sensors at each wheel are sometimes damaged by road hazards, and may also fail electrically from heat and vibration. A failed sensor turns on the ABS warning light and disables ABS operation until the fault is repaired. Replace your failed wheel sensors and restore ABS function.
