This is the updated high pressure fuel pump for BMW's with the N54 or N55 turbo engine. The high-pressure fuel pump is a known weak point on the N54 and N55 engines and can cause limp mode or even leave you stranded if it fails. This is the latest and most current version of the fuel pump offered. Common symptoms of a failing pump include rough idle, engine misfires, sudden loss of power, or failure to start. If your vehicle still has an earlier revision of the pump, especially if it's modified or will be in the future, this is a worthwhile upgrade for improved reliability. This low-pressure fuel sensor is commonly a cause of an "Increased Emissions" warning on the idrive and for check engine (SES) lights on BMW's with the N54 6 cylinder turbo engine or the S65 V8 engine in the M3. It will also fit a limited number of cars with the N55 engine. This sensor can be traced to a number of drivability issues, including cold start running problems, misfires, stumbling, hesitations, and overall rough running. You will likely have a code for the misfires, rich condition, or for the sensor itself. In some cases, the combination of codes can bring about a limp mode. Replacing this sensor is an easy and inexpensive first step if you're having any of these issues. From 1974 to 2019, Bavarian Autosport was one of the premier vendors for BMW and MINI auto parts. Looking to get rid of the troublesome and expensive DI injectors on your BMW N54 and move to PI only and a standalone? If so VTT has you covered with its new N54 PI delete kit. This kit allows you to SAFELY remove the DI injectors, install our delete fittings, and run PI only. We machined these deletes from 310 Stainless for extreme heat, and corrosion resistance, and include 3 hold downs. These DI deletes COMPLETELY get rid of all factory provisions, including the seal. If the seal is left intact with no fuel to cool the injector or delete it will quickly overheat and melt the delicate seal causing combustion gasses to escape the engine creating misfires, and worse possibly damaging your injector bore on the cylinder head. Our deletes are machined to be a press fit into the cylinder, and can be either cooled with liquid nitrogen, and dropped in, or tapped in with a hammer, and then held down with the included hold downs. We also include M6 tapped holes on the top of each one in case they need to be removed you can attach a slide hammer, and remove the delete. These are sold as a kit and come with the following 6 – 310 Stainless DI Delete fittings 3 – Hold down brackets Completetion of this kit will require the purchase of HPFP delete plate - ES# 4623950 PLEASE NOTE: THIS KIT REQUIRES EXTENSIVE MODIFICATIONS TO CONVERT YOUR ENGINE TO PI ONLY.
