The E90 330i had the highest horsepower out of the N52-powered vehicles. The reason for this was while the 128i, 325i, 328i, 525i, and 528i received a single-stage manifold, the 330i was gifted a 3-stage manifold. A 3-stage manifold consisted of 2 DISA valves that would divert air to the cylinders that needed it. With more air going to the appropriate cylinders and fuel adjustments by the ECU, this valve system helps extract the most power from the N52. This Euro air intake is less restrictive than the stock intake and also allows much easier acces to the air filter from the top. In addition, this airbox uses a cylinder style filter instead of a standard square filter for higher flow. 

The MAF sensor from your original airbox will need to be reused as the connector in the Euro box is a small 2-pin connector.
