This is the updated high pressure fuel pump for BMW's with the N54 or N55 turbo engine. The high-pressure fuel pump is a known weak point on the N54 and N55 engines and can cause limp mode or even leave you stranded if it fails. This is the latest and most current version of the fuel pump offered. Common symptoms of a failing pump include rough idle, engine misfires, sudden loss of power, or failure to start. If your vehicle still has an earlier revision of the pump, especially if it's modified or will be in the future, this is a worthwhile upgrade for improved reliability. Included in the retail price is a refundable $130 core charge.

This bolt attaches the high-pressure fuel pump to the engine's cylinder head. Any time this bolt is removed to remove or replace the high-pressure fuel pump, it should be replaced with a brand new bolt as it is a single-use bolt per BMW. This bolt comes pre-applied with thread sealant to prevent oil leaks.
