BMW Engine Parts for BMW Z Series E85/6 (2003-2008)

Every 60-80,000 miles, we recommend replacing your spark plugs to ensure your ignition system is running optimally. Over time carbon can build up around the head of the spark plug and decrease spark strength and effectiveness, leading to weaker fuel mixture detonation, misfires, and potential check engine lights. To prevent this, have put together our High-Performance Ignition Service Kits. These kits include new Bav Auto High-Performance Ignition Coils, new spark plugs, dielectric grease, and a BMW spark plug service label to keep track of when your spark plugs were replaced.

Bav Auto's Ignition coils feature core windings that have been modified to increase firepower and promote a faster, more efficient burn. This gives your BMW/MINI increased torque in the lower range of RPM and more horsepower in the upper range. Exact improvements depend on the current condition of your engine, but you'll definitely feel the difference. They'll also improve your fuel economy.

From 1974 to 2019, Bavarian Autosport was one of the premier vendors for BMW and MINI auto parts. We are happy to preserve the Bav Auto legacy by continuing to carry their high-quality products into the future. All Bav Auto parts will remain unchanged in design and sourced from the same OEM suppliers to ensure long-lasting reliability. We trust these parts, accessories, and upgrades so confidently that we back every Bavarian Autosport branded component with a 2-year warranty.

As a leading source of high-performance BMW parts and accessories since 1993, we at Turner Motorsport are honored to be the go-to supplier for tens of thousands of enthusiasts the world over. With over two decades of parts, service, and racing experience under our belt, we provide only quality performance and replacement parts. All of our performance parts are those we would (and do!) install and run on our own cars, as well as replacement parts that are Genuine BMW or from OEM manufacturers. We only offer parts we know you can trust to perform!

The factory VANOS exhaust hub on the S54 engine is known to develop excessive play where the drive tabs interface with the oil pump disk. Over time, this imprecise fitment causes a back-and-forth rattling motion that can result in the tabs shearing off inside the engine, risking catastrophic damage or complete engine failure. Unlike other aftermarket solutions that require full VANOS disassembly, retiming, or replacement of the oil pump disk, the Turner Motorsport S54 VANOS Hub Upgrade offers a smarter approach. Our bolt-on fix eliminates the common failure point without opening the VANOS unit or disturbing engine timing.

Our solution involves removing the worn tabs from your stock exhaust hub and installing our precision-fit replacement, which is precision-machined from 4340 steel and hardened to meet OEM specifications. Designed using 3D scanning and CAD modeling, the Turner Motorsport VANOS Exhaust Hub Upgrade provides a tight, interference-free fit into the oil pump disc, completely resolving the issue without unnecessary labor.

Features & Benefits:

Direct bolt-on solution for S54 VANOS oil pump drive tab failure, preventing potentially catastrophic damage to engine internals Precision-machined from high-strength 4340 steel and heat-treated to match OEM specifications Designed using 3D scanning and CAD modeling to ensure precise fitment within the OEM oil pump disc Engineered to eliminate the play that exists between the exhaust hub and oil pump disc from factory Backed by extensive real-world testing and our lifetime replacement program! Rogue Engineering has developed a power pulley kit that reduces the drag on specific pulleys while allowing others to remain at their same efficiency. This allows for perfect operation in daily driven vehicles without a hiccup or stutter. However, when the demand for power is requested, the power pulley kit allows for the freed power to become apparent.  The term "power" pulley is a bit of a misnomer. Underdrive pulleys actually free up power by reducing the drag caused by the accessories.  These pulleys are based off a calculated percentage from factory dimensions, so that particular component speeds are safely reduced without affecting their true purpose.

Rogue Engineering Power Pullies are CNC machined from 6061-T6, heat treated aluminum and specially coated with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize finish. This kind of anodizing is not to be confused with a Type II cosmetic anodize finish (typical colors such as red, blue, silver, green, etc.). The hard coat anodize finish actually builds a small surface layer on top of the aluminum, preventing wear.

This part fits the following BMW engines:
S54

This part fits the following chassis:
E46, Z3, Z4

Take the guesswork out of S54 ownership. This all-inclusive kit targets the two most notorious failure points on the BMW S54 engine: broken exhaust hub tabs and degraded internal seals.

Turner Motorsport S54 VANOS Exhaust Hub Upgrade

The factory S54 exhaust hub is a ticking time bomb. Excessive play between the drive tabs and the oil pump disk creates a rhythmic rattling that eventually shears the tabs off, risking catastrophic engine failure.

While other kits require deep-engine surgery, our Turner Motorsport Hub Upgrade offers a "work smarter" approach.

Precision Engineering: Developed using 3D scanning and CAD modeling for a perfect, interference-free fit.

Superior Materials: Machined from high-strength 4340 steel and hardened to OEM specifications.

No Re-Timing Required: This bolt-on fix eliminates the failure point without the need to disassemble the VANOS unit or disturb engine timing, saving hours of labor.

ECS Tuning VANOS Seal Kit

The original BMW seals are made of Buna-N rubber, which quickly hardens and loses its sealing properties when exposed to synthetic oil and high heat. Our ECS engineering team has corrected this flaw.

Viton™ Upgrade: We utilize high-performance Viton O-rings for the internal seals, seal plate, and solenoid.

Chemical Resistance: These seals are designed to remain pliable and effective for the life of the engine, restoring lost low-end torque and smoothness.

ECS Tuning Rattle Repair Kit

Eliminate the dreaded "marbles in a can" sound. This kit addresses the axial play in the VANOS helical gears.

Hardened Steel: Our rings and washers are precision-ground to resist the wear and deformation that lead to engine rattle.

Silent Operation: Restores the refined sound and feel of your S54 across the entire RPM range.
