This is the replacement mass air sensor to fit the M54 and N52 engine used in the E9x 325i, 330i, E60 525i 530i and Z4 with N52 engine. This HFM is manufactured by OEM supplier Siemens/VDO and is a direct replacement for the stock HFM. The mass air sensor/meter measures the volume of air being fed into the engine so that the fuel levels can be adjust for optimal performance. A faulty sensor can lead to improper fuel mixture and rough idle and poor performance and gas mileage. Replace your faulty sensor with a high quality OEM VDO sensor to restore normal operation.

Designed to use the "venturi effect," Eventuri has created a unique intake system that out-performs the competition. The Venturi effect is when the smooth reduction in cross-sectional area along the length of the housing causes the airflow to increase in velocity. This means more air-flow and smoother delivery, resulting in more power. But that isn't all that sets their design apart. They also use an inverted cone filter that is decoupled from the MAF. This is done because it means the filter no longer dictates the shape of air-flow, thus creating the venturi effect.
Their systems are extensively developed using cutting edge design, testing and prototyping methods. With a focus on performance, each design undergoes CFD analysis and is then validated at the prototype stage through volumetric airflow, intake temperature and extensive dyno testing. Due to weak plastic construction, the factory plastic crankcase ventilation breather hose is known to fail. After years of exposure to piping-hot engine bay temperatures and chemical-laden oil vapors, the corrugated plastic tubing can crack, crumble, or fail altogether.
We set out to bulletproof your N52 CCV system with a durable silicone breather hose, designed to provide a comprehensive upgrade and permanent replacement for the factory plastic hose. By replacing the flimsy, heat-hardened OEM plastic hose with a four-ply fluorosilicone hose, you'll experience peace of mind knowing your N52 is free from the inevitable return of oil leaks, vacuum leaks, and drivability concerns that would have been.
This breather hose is found at the front of the engine, and is used to connect the oil separator to the valve cover. It replaces OEM part number 11157522931.
