Supersprint's sport rear muffler allows more of that engine note to be heard. The stock muffler may be too quiet for some and it's a shame to over-muffle the sound of BMW's engine. The Supersprint muffler is a direct replacement for the stock with all of the original gaskets and hangers. This Supersprint center section will delete the secondary silencer/resonator in the stock exhaust and fit with the Supersprint sport rear muffler. The front of this section is clamped to the stock front resonator. By eliminating one of the silencers, and matched to the rear muffler, more of the Z4's perky engine note will come through. And with less restriction more torque and horsepower can be released.

The Supersprint 'Race' rear muffler system is one step beyond the standard Sport mufflers. Don't be fooled by the name - the 'Race' mufflers are designed for street use and the name only distinguishes it from the quieter standard Sport system. With the stock system the sound is very subdued. With the 'Race' mufflers the sound is much more noticeable and more aggressive - a perfect sound to compliment the assertive nature of an M Coupe or Roadster. You will hear this exhaust but it will not be intrusive or sound out of place on a civilized sports/GT car like the MZ4. The Supersprint center pipes to delete the rear resonators for more volume can be a welcome addition.

These Supersprint section 1 straight pipes are designed to follow the larger pipe sizing of the Supersprint stepped headers. With straight pipes and headers, there will be no cats in the system, making this perfect for race or track-only cars. The straight design will be louder and let more of the S54 rasp to come through. With headers and the Supersprint race mufflers the sound is simply intoxicating. You can use this section with any other section 2 pipe and muffler.
