BMW Suspension Parts for BMW 3 Series E91 (2006-2012)

The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus Kit includes two rear shocks. These shocks are for use with lowered springs such as from H&R or Eibach. We do not recommend that you use them with any factory spring, including factory sport package springs. With the increased damping rates from stock you will have much more control over body motions. These will give a much more buttoned down and taut feeling with lowering springs compared to stock shocks.

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Bilstein strut/shock package for stock springs. Set includes 2 front Bilstein B6 Performance shocks and 2 rear Bilstein B6 Performance shocks. Includes top nuts and rear lower shock washers. The stock rear dust boots are re-used. The Bilstein B6 Performance Shock is designed for use with stock springs. The polished aluminum ECS strut tower bar kit offers more than just good looks - it reduces chassis flex to stiffen the suspension, and helps to triangulate the front end, providing more consistent suspension geometry.

Strut tower plates should sit flush against the strut towers. If this is not the case, your strut towers are to some extent deformed. This can be easily remedied in minor cases with a block of wood and a hammer.
