Building your perfect BMW is more than just adding horsepower and stiff suspension. Your drivetrain needs attention in order to deliver power effectively. Most BMWs feature comfortable clutch discs, heavy flywheels, long shifter throws, and open differentials. The drivetrain transmits power to the wheels, but can also be a source of power loss when it is designed for comfort rather than performance. Everything on this page will help you improve your power delivery and driving experience by providing custom Limited Slip Differentials, Short Shift Conversions, Performance Clutch Discs, Lightweight Flywheels, and anything else your BMW needs to be the perfect driving experience.

Located between the transmission and driveshaft, the giubo (also guibo) joint is a flexible rubber drive coupling that joins driveline components to reduce vibration, while allowing a limited range of flexibility. Joint rubber deteriorates over time from torque stress and heat hardening. A failed joint is a common cause of driveline noise and vibration. This joint should be inspected during normal maintenance for signs of heat cracking and tears in the rubber. Failed joints should be replaced before they cause additional damage and expense or disable the vehicle.

Positioned between the transmission and driveshaft, the giubo (or guibo) joint is a flexible rubber coupling designed to connect driveline components. It reduces vibrations while accommodating limited flexibility. Over time, the rubber can deteriorate due to torque stress and heat, leading to hardening and wear. A failing joint is a common source of driveline noise and vibration. Regular maintenance should include inspecting the joint for heat-related cracks or tears in the rubber. Prompt replacement of damaged joints is crucial to prevent further damage, costly repairs, or potential vehicle breakdown.
