Add strength to your cooling system and replace your water pump The secret of any reliable performance car is a rock-solid cooling system. Unfortunately, the N54's stock cooling system has several shortcomings that get in the way of reliable, repeatable, dependable performance. Turner Motorsport has spent years behind the wheel of modified N54-powered BMWs, and we've figured out what it takes to keep your N54 cool and happy. Using a combination of in-house designed parts and carefully-selected aftermarket components, we've put together an all-inclusive package that will allow you to replace your water pump and beef up your cooling system at the same time. Here's what's included: New water pump with replacement screws New thermostat Billet thermostat hose adapter (a great replacement for the stock, crack-prone plastic part!) Silicone coolant outlet hose Aluminized silicone water pump hose (aluminized for heat resistance to stay cool!) Heavy Duty aluminum coolant bleed screw (replace the strip-prone plastic screw!) New hose clamps 1 gallon of Genuine BMW coolant (just add distilled water at your desired ratio) Red Line Water Wetter (trust us, this stuff works - we've been running it for years!)Add strength to your cooling system and replace your water pump The secret of any reliable performance car is a rock-solid cooling system. The N54 engine is no stranger to oil cooling problems, that’s why we recommend installing the MSL Oil Thermostat. The standard oil thermostat will reach around 120 degrees Celsius with a normal driving style. The MSL Oil Thermostat will open at a lower temperature than the standard oil thermostat (at 85 degrees Celsius) and will keep the temperature stable between 95 and 105 degrees Celsius. Installing the MSL thermostat ensures a cooler oil temperature which will result in more stable performance, but above all this improves the reliability of the engine. It is recommended to install the thermostat, especially for cars that are tuned.
