The OEM inlet pipe is made of plastic and is prone to failure. Replace this flimsy piece with the newly designed turbo inlet from MST Performance. This inlet is constructed from CNC-machined billet 6061 aluminum and wire re-enforced multi-ply silicone. It is much more reliable under stock levels of boost, and can handle higher boost levels as well. After installation, you can expect improved turbo response, increased flow, and decreased turbo lag. This Blow Off, or Dump valve, is for the BMW N20 2.0 Turbo engines that have the electronically controlled bypass valve. It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures that have occurred, where the original rubber diaphragm splits, which causes a loss of boost pressure. Unfortunately the failure doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure, so you may not be aware that you are losing power due to this.

Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering significantly improved reliability. Our valve is piston based with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction. It replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation.

Dinan's Cold Air Intake system for the F10 M5 adds two additional intake snorkels to complement the factory intake ducts to the airboxes (a total of 4 intake ducts feeding air into the engine). Dinan studied the aerodynamics and packaging of the front end to determine where additional intakes can take in air. New airbox covers incorporate carbon fiber air ducts that run to the top of the radiator support where it gets a ram-air effect from the front grilles. The new airbox cover and piping are designed with a composite material that blocks hot air. A K&N high flow air filter that has 77% more surface area than stock sits in the new airbox. Dinan has shown peak gains of 13hp and 9ft-lbs of torque from the intake alone but greater gains come at higher RPM where more airflow is required.
