This weighted shift knob makes shifts faster and the extra-large globe shape encourages over-palm shifting. The Black Forest Industries Billet Knob weighs in at 8.8oz (250g), about twice as much as a stock knob and a little heaver than the BMW ZHP knob. The heavier knob amplifies the pendulum motion of the shift lever resulting in smoother and faster shift times. BFI has designed this knob for BMW and VW fitments to fit snug on the shift lever and be secured with Allen set screws. They were careful to reduce tolerances compared to universal knobs. The overall height of the BFI knob is the same as stock anatomic knobs (some BMW M/Performance models have a stock knob that is shorter than this one).

Included with the BFI Billet knob is a matching BFI crest shift emblem. A 5 or 6-speed pattern emblem is available separately.

All APEX wheels are the BMW standard 5/120 bolt pattern and with a 72.6mm center bore. They are a direct fit to most any 1-series (E82), 3-series (E36, E46), Z3, and Z4-series BMWs. The original BMW center cap, TPMS sensors, and original lug bolts are all carried over from your original wheels (wheel bolts may vary if spacers are used). They come in a wide variety of diameter, width, and offset combinations which gives you multiple fitment and application opportunities. For street use we generally recommend a staggered setup with a rear wheel slightly wider than the front. For track and racing applications a square setup is desired with the same width in the front and rear. Wheel offsets may also vary based on the clearances and stance you wish to achieve. Apex EC-7 18x8.5" Square Wheel Set

Apex 8.5" wheel set for the front and rear of your BMW. These are a bit wider than stock to put more rubber to the road. This helps to reduce understeer on cars with staggered wheel sets and gives you the option to rotate tires. If you're tracking your BMW you should absolutely have a square wheel set (the same size front and rear). Adding a wider wheel will get you more rubber where it counts - reducing understeer and improving initial turn-in. We have put this wheel set together using four APEX 8.5" wheels in a ET45 offset. A 8.5" wheel allows for 225-245 R-comp or performance tires.
