The water pump is a known failure point on most BMWs, new and old. Older model BMWs come from the factory with a mechanical fan that features a plastic impeller. If your BMW still has a water pump with a plastic impeller, you should upgrade to one with a metal impeller to avoid future failure. New BMWs utilize an electric water pump that cost BMW millions of dollars to design - when it is working it is great, unfortunately these fail so regularly that we recommend replacing your electric water pump every 60,000 miles to avoid stranding yourself on the side of the road. We have hand selected the best OE suppliers for replacement water pumps so you don't have to pay the high cost of Genuine BMW. However, if you're someone who only puts Genuine BMW parts on your car, we understand - that's why we have those available for you as well.

The water pump in your vehicle keeps all that coolant flowing freely. If it begins to fail, overheating problems are inevitable. Don't take a chance on doing damage to engine internals by not replacing your water pump. This has been a common problem amongst most German vehicles. Water Pump failure can lead to your vehicle making an unnecessary trip to the repair shop. If your pump stops working, coolant temperatures rise rapidly and can overheat the engine, leading to head gasket or even piston ring failure. This is a great preventative maintenance item when doing any type of timing belt replacement. This is a common replacement around 80,000-100,000 miles.

BMW F30 Water Pump plays a crucial role in the vehicle's cooling system, directly impacting performance and fuel efficiency. Designed to manage engine cooling, this water pump also supports turbo and transmission cooling, making it an essential component of the engine. BMW has engineered this smart electric water pump with increased output to meet the high cooling demands of the N20/N26 engines, which face additional stress due to the factory intercooler, tight engine bay, and heat from the turbochargers.

  • Enhanced Cooling Performance: Ensures effective cooling of the engine, turbo, and transmission.
  • Smart Electric Design: Features a dynamic electric pump with increased output compared to normally aspirated models.
  • Engine Efficiency: Balances engine power output and cooling responsibilities for optimal performance.
  • Fits Multiple Models: Compatible with 2012+ BMW F30 320i

This water pump is a critical upgrade for maintaining engine health and performance.
