Ohlins Racing has a long history dating back to 1976 of providing premium motorcycle and automotive suspension systems to numerous racing teams, individual racers, and OE brands such as BMW Motorsport, Audi, Lamborghini. Pagani, Ducati and Kawasaki. Over time, thanks to extensive R&D, testing, and tuning, their products have evolved into some of the highest quality suspension systems in the world, providing years of flawless operation on both the street and the track. Ohlins' latest automotive suspension system, the DFV (Dual Flow Valve) Road and Track Coilover Kit, has bridged the gap between comfortable stock suspension and track focused coilover kits. These kits provide a ride that glides over typical bumps and dips in the road, all without the typical hard rattle and harsh feel of usual coilovers, and turn in tight and maintain tire grip and traction in corners significantly better than stock suspension ever could. This is all thanks to the spring rate chosen and Ohlins and their signature Dual Flow Valve. The DFV maintains comfort and agility by giving the same characteristics for both rebound and compression, allowing the wheel and tire to maintain constant contact with the road/track for maximum control. The Dual Flow Valve works by controlling shock fluid flow based on resistance and impact velocity. This is controlled in both compression and rebound, giving the quick shock operation that helps maintain traction. At low shaft travel speeds, oil flows mostly through the shaft jet bleed. At higher shaft speeds, oil flows mostly through the compression/rebound ports in the piston. At very high shaft speeds, or during sudden accelerations from potholes or large bumps in the road, oil can then escape through the ports in the DFV, absorbing a large amount of energy that would otherwise throw off the balance and control of the vehicle and keeping the tire planted firmly on the ground. With all three compression and rebound ports working together according to pressure and shaft speed, the result is the notorious premium suspension feel that only Ohlins can offer. In addition to managing the rebound and compression control, coilovers must also properly address heat changes in the shock oil. As the shock is pushed harder and longer, the oil quickly heats up due to friction and compression, and the oils flow characteristics change. The hotter the oil is, the easier it is for it to travel through ports and valves. To prevent this typical fade in control, Ohlins has implemented a temperature controlled needle bleed valve system that will expand as temperatures rise, slowly increasing restriction in the fluids flow through the valve gap. This produces a consistent dampening rate that maintains the vehicle's suspension characteristics lap after lap, turn after turn, no matter how hard you push your suspension's capabilities. Using a linear design (similar to OEM) with unique spring rates, Emmanuele Design's lowering springs are properly matched to the factory dampers, ensuring a ride quality that is slightly stiffer than stock, but predictable in nature. A progressive spring will typically be softer at light loads, then dramatically stiffen as compression increases. This makes it very hard to match dampening, and creates the bouncy feeling over light bumps. The linear design of these springs have a consistent rate as the spring sees higher load. On light bumps, it will allow the chassis to follow the road well (minimizing the bouncy feeling), while under heavy compression it will stiffen to prevent bottoming out. In our experience, this creates a much better overall ride quality. Compatible with adaptive suspension.

For someone looking for superior performance and longevity these sealed monoball bushings are the best upper thrust bearing you can buy for an E82 1-series or E9X 3-series. The advantage of a monoball bearing is that it will not deflect under load. All of the rubber bushings move in all sorts of directions and that changes your alignment, especially when used with big brake kits or when driven hard. The condition worsens as the bushing wears out. The Dinan monoball sits in a CNC machined aluminum housing which has zero deflection. The monoball allows complete freedom of movement but only at the desired angles. What you get is superior steering precision, better handling from more consistent alignment, and almost infinite bushing life. And thanks to the inner liner and sealed rubber boots there's none of the extra noise or reduced service life of fully solid race bushings.

MADE IN THE USA. Rubber bushings found in the G8X’s rear upper arms are the last weak link in an otherwise rigid suspension. The original BMW bushings yield to cornering forces applied to the suspension, resulting in camber and toe change that is not ideal for performance driving. Fall Line’s kit replaces the soft upper control arm bushings with spherical bearings, enabling the rear suspension arms to move smoothly through their travel and giving the rear of a car a more solid, planted feel. The reduced geometry change allows for the car to retain its desired alignment, maintaining better control over the tire’s behavior under heavy load. Designed to replace the inner bushings of the rear upper control arms; BMW Part Numbers: 33322284777, 33329504611, and 33329504612. The BMW M cars feature a subframe that is directly mounted to the chassis by BMW M, to reduce suspension compliance and improve performance and driving feel. Similarly, the Fall Line upper control arm bearings rigidly mount the suspension arms to the subframe, increasing driver feedback, reducing geometry change, and improving performance. As with any elimination of suspension bushings, more feedback does equate to more road and suspension noise. While the Fall Line rear upper control arm bearings are a substantial performance improvement, please do be prepared for increased noise, vibration, and harshness after installing the parts. Dinan sway bars are carefully engineered to match the driving dynamics of each BMW chassis. Dinan's research and development finds the ideal balance between improved handling while maintaining a comfortable ride. This set has been fine-tuned for the F8X M3/M4 and F87 M2 chassis to reduce bodyroll, improve steering and turn-in response, and reduce understeer. The front and rear bars are hollow tubular steel for light weight with adjustable ends to dial in the handling characteristics. These are the same sway bars used in Dinan's Stage 1 suspension and work best with Dinan shocks and springs or a similar sport suspension.

Fall Line’s mono ball spherical bearing conversion kit transforms the front steering and suspension feel of the M2. The factory rubber bushing is very large, and is prone to substantial deflection under load, as the M2 is put through its paces. Deflection of the bushing can create unwanted geometry change, steering wobble under braking, and even hysteresis of the thrust arm. The bearing’s housing is precision machine from aluminum, to create a rigid part that allows for the M2’s thrust arm to move smoothly through its range of suspension travel. The improvement in steering and suspension feel is immediate and truly enhances the personality of the M2.
