From the factory, all BMW models are equipped with soft rubber or fluid-filled engine mounts. While these mounts perform well at isolating drivetrain vibrations, they are prone to degradation and allow for significant drivetrain movement. Here at Turner Motorsport, we CAD design everything in house - our N55 engine covers are no exception. While designing our N55 carbon intake, we were unimpressed with the factory plastic beauty cover and wanted to give F30 335i owners an option that looked great with our intake and also exposed more of the engine's cold side. We did this to give your bay more of a performance aesthetic, taking cues from previous forced induction BMWs (I'm looking at you, N54). Ignition coils are key to the efficiency and performance of your BMW. With a faulty coil the spark plug is not burning the air/fuel mixture properly and that can lead to problems anywhere in the engine and exhaust (including catalytic converters and O2 sensors). Problems with one or more coils will cause a fault code but not always a check engine light. A misfire code may be related to an ignition coil but could be from other things as well. Sometimes a visual inspection of a coil and coil boot will give an indication of a failure. You can also move coils around to different cylinder banks to see if the misfire code follows a suspect coil. We suggest always having one or two coils on hand to keep as spares.
This is the current replacement for some BMW 6 and 8-cylinder engines built in the late 2000s and after. BMW has made numerous changes to ignition coil part numbers in recent years but has approved this part number to work in the vehicles listed below. It's listed as a replacement coil for N20, N55, and S55 engines. In March 2015 BMW approved it for N51/N52 engines. This part number replaces the previous BMW part number 12137594937 for the cars listed below.

Dinan Iridium Spark Plugs are an excellent upgrade for tuned, and even stock engines, where applicable.* Our spark plugs are made from Iridium - one of the strongest materials available. They last longer than other materials with higher melting points, run cooler, resist preignition, and even require less voltage to produce a strong spark. The iridium electrode with its copper core is harder and stronger than other materials, can dissipate heat more easily, and is better protected from melting, cracking, and other limitations found with standard plugs. Dinan spark plugs are great for high boost, high cylinder pressure, high cylinder temperatures, and high-power situations, and they pair nicely with a set of Dinan ignition coils, where applicable. However, they are not only for tuned and higher output vehicles that may benefit from a plug cooler than the factory heat range – they also are applicable to select non-tuned / stock vehicles as well!* *N54 & N55 COMPATIBILITY: Dinan plugs are numerous steps colder than stock on both the N54 (3 steps colder) and N55 (2 steps colder) and are suggested for tuned, high boost and/or upgraded turbo applications only. This kit saves you money and can be used as many times as you need to ensure perfectly clean intake ports for optimum airflow and performance. The oxygen sensor is vital to the performance and drivability of your car. The engine computer relies on data from the sensor to make adjustments in engine efficiency and performance. When your BMW oxygen sensor fails, the computer can no longer sense the air/fuel ratio, so it ends up guessing -- resulting in poor performance, poor gas mileage, and increased pollution. Make sure your BMW engine performs as it should, and doesn't use more fuel than it needs to, by simply changing your oxygen sensor today. There is no lifespan on O2 sensors but there are several fault codes that indicate a failed sensor (O2 monitoring, cat efficiency, O2 heating circuit, O2 readiness, and others). The O2 sensor is heated and has a self-calibration feature so once you get the codes or feel performance has suffered, a new sensor is a good starting point to get you back to peak performance. Bosch's Oxygen sensors are high quality and will give you the the longest and best performance for the price.
