BMW Sway Bar Kits

Replacement REAR sway bar / swaybar link for all 1997-2003 5 series sedans and wagons. Made by Lemforder. this is a very common wear item in the E39 suspension, especially when the car has been driven hard. While replacing this part, also check the sway bar bushing bracket for signs of stress or failure. It can be used on both the left and right side of the car. Two required per car, and are sold individually.

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Lowering your BMW does wonders for appearance and handling, but it also changes suspension geometry in ways that can hurt performance. This front right sway bar / swaybar link fits BMW E60 525i 528i 530i 535i 545i 550i M5 - with either the standard front sway bar or the "Dynamic Drive" sway bar. This does NOT fit any all wheel drive or Xi models.
