Dinan sport mufflers are designed to compliment the 535i and not overpower the driver and passengers with harsh tones. Four 3.5" stainless tips engraved with the Dinan logo fill out the rear valence (choose either polished or satin black tips). Annoying highway drone has also been engineered out of the system. This system replaces the factory rear mufflers at a pre-determined cut point on the stock exhaust, which makes for an easy installation and you can reinstall your original mufflers using factory hardware. This awesome Mach Force XP Cat-back exhaust system produces 11.5 horsepower and 9.5 lbs. x ft. of torque. The Mach Force XP exhaust system is constructed of mandrel bent, polished 304 stainless steel tubing and uses all factory mounting locations for an easy 1hr install time with no cutting or drilling required. This system uses a unique 3" resonance chamber to cancel high-frequency sound waves producing an aggressive tone on throttle with a smooth sound at cruising speeds. The elimination of the muffler produces a weight savings of 15lbs. This system comes with an aggressive black 304 stainless steel dual tip to finish off your 135i right.

This Supersprint performance exhaust is built from the Euro M5/M6 exhaust layout but fits the non-M E24/E28 (see fitment notes below). It features oversized dual 50mm stainless steel pipes leading from the catalytic converter. This Supersprint system has a center resonator and rear muffler with free-flow designs for a sporty sound and less restriction to free up horsepower. Both systems are bolt-on to the stock factory catalytic converter (see fitment notes below) and use all of the stock hangers and gaskets. This makes for an excellent replacement exhaust system because the sound is such a great match to the M30 engine and retro cool that these cars have now. It's a classic growl and throaty sound without being overly aggressive. We've had nothing but compliments on the sound from this system. The previous mild steel versions have been discontinued - this system is now 100% T304 stainless steel!

Fitment Note 1 (flanges):
1982-1988 635, 1984-1988 535 models should have a stock 3-bolt flange where the center resonator and front catalytic converter meet. This Supersprint system is a direct bolt-on replacement to this system.
1988-1989 635 BMW changed the center resonator and cat flanges from a 3-bolt triangle to a 2-bolt diamond-shaped flange. The Supersprint center resonator uses the 3-bolt flange. So you must either cut off the 3-bolt flange and reinstall the original 2-bolt flange. Or cut the 2-bolt flange from the cat and weld on a new 3-bolt flange (BMW p/n 18111178137 and gaskets p/n 18301723886, available separately).
Fitment Note 2 (hangers):
This system was originally designed for the Euro E24/E28 which does not have the rear hanger attachment over the tips like on a US model (you will need the Euro hanger setup). In addition the tips are shorter on the Euro muffler since the Euro bumpers do not extend as far as the US bumpers. So the tips on this muffler will sit just past the valance but tucked far under the bumper.

A good header design is key to unlocking performance gains from naturally aspirated motors. At Supersprint every header is designed, developed and manufactured within our factory in Mantova, Italy.
With performance gains the main objective, we study and design primary and secondary piping configurations with varying diameters and lengths. These are then tested on our in-house MAHA Dynamometer enabling us to recognise the optimum setup. We also ensure the 02 sensor bungs remain in their original position for ideal fitting.
Supersprint headers are manufactured using industry leading techniques from the best German 304 and 310S stainless steel with piping thickness variable from 1 to 1.5mm, along with CNC machined, hi-precision laser cut flanges built from 409 and 304 steel for perfect fitment and longevity. The joints are TIG welded in order to guarantee strength and durability. For temperature critical, delicate applications we also use Inconel for some of our products.
These materials and processes ensure Supersprint headers are extremely high quality, durable products that offer true, tangible performance gains.

The Supersprint Race mufflers let that raucous S62 growl come through! These mufflers use a smaller body with a lot less restriction for better flow and to save weight. One area where the US M5/M6 is different than a more-powerful Euro-spec model is in the exhaust. The US M5/M6 got a header design with smaller pipes that is more restrictive. These Supersprint headers are based on the Euro design (no longer available through BMW USA) but are slightly larger tubes for better performance. The stepped design is a favorite of M3 header designs and originated in Formula 1 engines. These headers also feature Supersprint's precision-engineered merge collectors on each bank that greatly improves exhaust flow and does not impede velocity.

The factory 35i exhaust system is pretty wide open with a minimal of restrictions - except for the catalytic converter. The factory cat is the biggest restriction so any exhaust work to gain more power is going to have to involve replacing it with something freer-flowing. Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

Headers should be part of any M20 performance project or restoration. These Supersprint tubular headers are a larger diameter and have better flow than the stock cast iron exhaust manifolds and they make more power. And since the stock headers are known to be brittle and can crack over time these make for an excellent upgrade replacement.
This header system mimics the stock exhaust after the header collectors. It uses the same 3-bolt flange as the original center resonator. This makes them a direct swap from the stock manifolds and downpipes and an easy fitment with the stock exhaust. Supersprint also makes a center resonator section and rear mufflers to build a complete system.
