This tuned resonator section replaces the factory resonator and works with the Supersprint muffler for a new, more aggressive, but still tame, exhaust note. The resonator is tuned along with the rest of the exhaust to give a more sporty sound than the factory M235i resonator but still meet European noise regulations. If you want more sound after this, there is a resonator-delete pipe available as well.

Supersprint sport cats for the E82 and E90/E92 are designed to work with their cat-less headers. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a traditional stock cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint headers (p/n 789001) and then to connecting pipes for whichever section 2 you are using (p/n 789022). This section is built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

These straight pipes connect to the turbo downpipes and eliminate the factory front resonators. This allows more volume from the exhaust and more V8 "soundtrack". With the M5/M6's twin-turbo V8 so quiet (even when piped through the speakers) every lit bit of volume is an improvement. This section will open up the exhaust a bit more - like turning the volume knob up - and remove some restriction in the exhaust flow. Must be installed with corresponding Supersprint center pipes.

Placing resonators after cat-less downpipes will help tune the sound from the S63TU engine. By removing the factory catted downpipes you're removing a large sound muffler as well and adding resonators can help tone down the open exhaust. These Supersprint resonators are for both banks of the exhaust (left and right). They are full stainless steel with a mandrel bent pipe for optimized exhaust flow. This pipe replaces the factory section 1 with larger 76mm tubing. With larger piping there is less restriction which helps the turbo work more efficiently. The turbo can make more power and torque and will last longer thanks to the reduce effort or pushing exhaust gases. The Supersprint Crossover Pipe will delete the rear resonator ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonator, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume so it's recommended that this is done after changing or removing mufflers. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory secondary cat section and before the rear mufflers. Supersprint sport cats for the F10 M5 are designed to work with their cat-less downpipes. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a factory-style ceramic cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque (and helps the turbos last longer). This cat section will mount to the Supersprint downpipes and then to a Supersprint center pipe. These are built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

This resonator fits in front of the muffler and takes the place of the stock resonator. With larger 76mm piping and a Supersprint resonator tuned for the rest of the exhaust, this section flows better than the original. The resonator keeps the engine noise from being excessively loud (a requirement for European noise regulations) but if more sound is desired a non-resonated section is also available.

Many people know that one of the main keys to getting power from a turbo is to open up the exhaust. Larger piping and less restrictions mean the exhaust gas can flow more easily which is less work for the turbo(s) and engine and that frees up torque and horsepower. These 100-cell metallic sport cats sit in oversized 60-65mm piping and are perfect for someone who installed cat-less downpipes but want some catalytic action on the exhaust to avoid bad smells and pollution. There are no crushed sections in the tubing, unlike the factory system, which contributes to improved flow. These are a direct replacement for the stock secondary cats and bolt to the turbo downpipe. At the back end these are clamped to a section 2 (stock or Supersprint X-Pipe).
