These Supersprint performance mufflers enhance the athletic side of the M6's personality. With a freer-flowing design there is more of that exhaust pop and rumble coming to the cabin, reminding you that this is a BMW Motorsport vehicle and not a luxury cruiser. The sport mufflers are more subdued than the race version with a great sound and no dramatic side effects. You hear the exhaust when you want to but it's composed and smooth when you don't want to advertise. A moderate increase in torque and horsepower from less restriction is a nice bonus. These mufflers are clamped in place of the stock mufflers, making for a straight forward and simple install. If you desire later on to hear more of the exhaust, an x-pipe can also be installed to eliminate the rear resonator.

This Supersprint cat-back race exhaust for the E70 X5 6-cylinder models will give a bit more pop and sexiness to the exhaust note. The Supersprint 'Race' rear muffler system is one step beyond the standard Sport mufflers. Don't be fooled by the name - the 'Race' mufflers are designed for street use and the name only distinguishes it from the standard Sport system. With the stock system the sound is very subdued. With the 'Race' mufflers the sound is much more noticeable and more aggressive - a perfect sound to compliment the assertive nature of an M6. You will hear this exhaust but it will not be intrusive or sound out of place on a civilized sports/GT car like the M6.
