Supersprint's rear mufflers for the 335i and 335xi produce a pleasing but not intrusive exhaust sound. This set of mufflers are considered their 'street' system with only a modest increase in volume to give a hint of added performance without being obnoxious or annoying. The Supersprint rear muffler fits to the stock center exhaust and produces a sportier, slightly more aggressive exhaust note than the stock exhaust. With the stock muffler, the engine noise is dampened a lot. But if you're an enthusiast who wants to accent the 7-series with more sport then this muffler is the perfect touch. The Supersprint muffler is all stainless steel and uses a much freer flowing design to make the exhaust louder and is tuned for a more exciting sound. It's not as big of a change on the Alpina model as that came with a sports muffler already. But there is still a modest sound change as well as torque and power improvements thanks to the less restrictive flow.

By using a smaller muffler body and more straight-through exhaust flow, more sound can be extracted from the very quiet turbocharged engine. Most of Supersprint's mufflers are designed to meet European noise levels which leaves some room to make them louder for the North American market but without being obnoxiously loud. This muffler converts the X3 to the 'dual exhaust' look with two tips on each side (bumper modification required). These Supersprint mufflers enhance the athletic side of the M5's personality without going too far. With a freer-flowing design there is more of that exhaust pop and rumble coming to the cabin, reminding you that this is a BMW Motorsport vehicle and not a luxury cruiser. These mufflers are more subdued than the race version with a great sound and no dramatic side effects. You hear the exhaust when you want to but it's composed and smooth when you don't want to advertise. A moderate increase in torque and horsepower from less restriction is a nice bonus. These mufflers are clamped in place of the stock mufflers, making for a straight forward and simple install. If you desire later on to hear more of the exhaust, an x-pipe can also be installed to eliminate the rear resonator.
