It is a good idea to note how your belt is routed before starting the installation.

2 securing bolts for crank seal guard - Torque value of 20Nm

You will find either 6 or 8 E10 bolts are holding the harmonic balancer depending on the engine.

N54: 6 bolts - Torque value of 35nm
N55: 8 bolts - Torque value of 35nm

Pulleys begin to squeak once they are reaching the end of their life span and the tensioners can fail, no longer applying enough tension to the accessory belt. If not replaced, tese can seize up and lead to a long host of problems that would leave you stranded on the side of the road. This tensioner is for either the Water Pump or Alternator on cars with the mechanical belt tensioner system. Please check to ensure your car does not have the hydraulic tensioner. This tensioner comes with the pulley assembly.
