Fine-tuning your coilover damping shouldn’t mean stripping out your rear seats or interior panels. On many applications, rear shock adjusters are hidden behind carpet, trim, or seatbacks, making quick adjustments a hassle.

The ECS Rear Damping Extension Kit solves that problem with a clean and functional solution. These flexible extensions relocate the adjustment knobs to an easily accessible point above the rear shock towers, letting you dial in your suspension from inside the cabin, no disassembly required.

Installation is straightforward: simply drill a small access hole in your interior trim and route the extension cables through. The adjustment knobs can be removed to allow the line to pass through smaller openings, minimizing cutting. For proper installation, be sure to fully loosen the set screw, insert the cable, then securely tighten it using the provided Allen key.

Soft factory rubber differential bushings absorb vibrations between chassis and differential, providing comfort and softness in both of these connections. ECS Tuning's In-House Engineered Performance Polyurethane Differential Bushing eliminate deflection permitted by factory bushings, improving the connection you feel to your differential. Removal of this slop allows for crisper power transfer from differential to wheels, which means better throttle control while carving a canyon road, drag racing, sliding the rear end out, or just driving to work. This is achieved without the harshness or vibration associated with delrin or solid differential mounts. Featuring a tough 88A durometer polyurethane and Black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum Sleeve, our Performance Polyurethane Differential Bushings are more resistant to chemicals, ozone degradation, road salt, and general wear and tear than factory rubber bushings, resulting in a longer service life.

What is spring rate?
​You may ask yourself "what is the spring rate and how does it affect my ride?" Spring rate is the amount of force needed to compress a spring one inch. For example if you have a spring rate of 300lbs per inch it will take 300lbs of force to compress the spring one inch. An average coilover for your F3x has over 400 lbs/in for the front and over 500 lbs/in for the rear, this means that it will take over 400lbs of force to compress your front spring one inch and over 500lbs of force to compress the rear one inch. The higher the spring rate, the more rigid your ride is going to be. ECS lowering springs for your F3x have a spring rate of 184 lbs/in in the front and 462 lbs/in, an increase over factory but much less than a coilover. You can now both understand and explain the benefits of lowering springs to find the best solution for you.

The upper rear shock bolts to the sheetmetal in the folding top well on convertible models. As the mileage goes up more and more stress is put on this sheetmetal and it can actually tear away from the rest of the chassis. Look for lttle cracks originating from the mouning holes. This reinforcement plate helps spread the shock loads around the sheetmetal and reduce stress in localized areas. Price is for the pair.

E82/E9X 28mm front sway bar with urethane bushings. Sway bars are typically sold as a front and rear set to balance the handling. But a front sway bar only can also have excellent benefits, especially on a street car. Going with a larger front bar will improve steering and handling even at low-moderate speeds. Steering turn-in is faster and gives the car a more direct and responsive feel. Cars with staggered wheel fitments (a narrower front wheel compared to the rear) will especially benefit from this and help the front tire 'bite' into the road. ECS has specified a 28mm sway bar that has been fine-tuned for use on the E9X and E82 models.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) ECS Polyurethane Subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while making ride quality more responsive, yet still streetable. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden and crack. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Your factory end link brackets are a one piece design with an integrated stud made of flimsy metal with no coating to protect from the elements. Over the years your end link hardware rusts right to the integrated stud and when you go to remove the end links or brackets they are one strong turn and a snap away from needing to be replaced.

Not only did ECS come up with a stronger solution with a superior resistance to corrosion but went the extra mile to incorporate hardware that can be replaced time and time again so you will never need to replace the brackets themselves. The end link brackets feature chamfers and locator pins to fit perfectly in factory location and make for a straight forward install. E46 323/325/328/330i 2-way adjustable 27mm front sway bar with urethane bushings.

Sway bars are typically sold as a front and rear set to balance the handling. But a front sway bar only can also have excellent benefits, especially on a street car. Going with a larger front bar will improve steering and handling even at low-moderate speeds. Steering turn-in is faster and gives the car a more direct and responsive feel. Cars with staggered wheel fitments (a narrower front wheel compared to the rear) will especially benefit from this and help the front tire 'bite' into the road. 

ECS has specified an adjustable 27mm sway bar that has been fine-tuned for use on the E46 non-M models. Urethane bushings with a reinforced inner core that requires no lubrication are included. 

Fits RWD models only (not 325xi/330xi).

To reduce the understeering affects of a staggered wheel setup you want a balanced set of sway bars. ECS has configured this anti-roll bar set for the non-M E46 with a 27mm adjustable front bar and a 21mm rear bar. The front is adjustable to two positions to fine-tune the handling and reduce understeer. The rear bar is fixed to retain the stock sway bar link. These anti-roll bars include urethane bushings with a reinforced inner liner that eliminates squeaks and doesn't require lubrication. The bars are powder coated for durability and good looks.

These bars fit in the stock locations using the existing brackets and links. Adjustable links are not required but recommended if the car is lowered or if you have coil overs (note: the rear bar is designed to only use the stock link, heavily lowered cars should not use this kit).

The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the hole(s) furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and adjust to your liking from there.

Want a race-spec rear shock mount but with the comfort of a factory bushing? This ECS rear shock mount combines the precision and articulation of a spherical bearing with the isolation of urethane bushings. The stainless monoball bearing is lined with PTFE lubricant and suspended in 80A urethane and housed in a hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum mount. The spherical bearing is a better design than most rear shock mounts because it allows the shock to move and tilt without side-loading the shock shaft (which leads to premature failure of the shock). Most Genuine BMW and aftermarket shock mounts are not designed for shock angles and the stress that track or performance driving will put on the shock shaft. The ECS shock mount is properly designed to handle these loads. The internal bearing is also replaceable - it will be years before you have to replace the entire mount. The ECS mount is fully encapsulated to prevent the common shock mount failure of the stock mount design.

ECS RSM features:

Designed specifically for your chassis these ECS lowering springs feature a linear style spring similar to a coilover. The issue with coilovers is the rough ride due to a drastic drop and much higher spring rates. When you have a higher spring rate like coilovers, it takes much more force to compress the spring, leading to a much more rigid ride. ECS lowering springs provide a happy medium between the factory suspension and coilover suspension. Our springs are stiffer than factory but softer than a coilover spring to achieve the balance of increased performance and aesthetics while retaining a comfortable ride.

The front sway bar mounting brackets are made from a solid piece of 6061-T6 billet aluminum that are precision CNC-machined to bolt into the OEM mounting location while utilizing greaseable, polyurethane bushings. They are Type II black anodized for corrosion protection and include zinc flake coated Class 12.9 alloy steel bolts for premium performance.

The red polyurethane bushings feature a greaseable channel for extended service life and quieter operation than standard polyurethane bushings.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

Billet & poly mounts replacing the OEM steel & rubber configuration you can expect faster reaction speed and greater effectiveness from your front sway bar due to less deflection. This translates to better handling with sharper, flatter cornering with reduced body roll.
