These front adjustable camber/caster plates will replace your stock front upper strut bearing. The KMAC plates are a 'floating' design so camber and caster are adjusted together. This design allows maximum range of adjustment since no other hardware interferes with the adjustments. Since these replace your stock strut bearings they are designed to work with a stock-type spring only. And when installed correctly will not significantly alter ride height. Adjustment is easily done by loosening the three nuts on top of the tower and sliding the camber plate into the position you want, then re-tighten the nuts. These mounts can be installed two ways - for camber correction or swapped side-side for increasing negative camber. Detailed instructions included.

Rear adjustable camber and toe bushings for the E82/E9X non-M 3-series. These bushings allow you to adjust camber and toe beyond factory specs to either restore camber or add more. If you lowered your car and have too much camber these bushings can get you back to stock specs. On the flip side if you need more camber for the track or autocross, you can fine tune it with these too. These bushings press in and replace the existing rubber bushings. They are made from peformance urethane which will give more feedback and response to the driver. Sold as a set with a bushing extraction tool included.

When an E9X is lowered beyond the limits of just lowering springs, the rear wheels toe-in excessively. This excessive rear toe leads to premature wear, that many people attribute to an increase in negative camber. It has become a common belief that an extremely low vehicle will wear the tires wrong as a matter of consequence. It has become standard practice to go as low as you can and proceed to replace your tires every five to ten thousand miles. Whats more is that when the vehicle reaches a certain ride height, the factory arms become maxed out and there is no way to compensate and dial in the proper toe. You're left with an improperly aligned vehicle that is in effect worse off than it was with the stock suspension installed.

This is not only uneconomical but improper and unsafe. ECS Tuning is proud to offer a solution for this problem in the form of Rogue Engineering E9X adjustable rear toe arms. These arms allow for greater toe adjustment on vehicles that have been lowered with a coilover suspension. With the toe set properly the tires can contact the road properly this maximizes grip and minimizes wear.

Designed to prevent “mushrooming” and other distortion caused by rough roads or stiff suspension setups, these plates help maintain consistent suspension geometry by reducing unwanted chassis flex. An integral part on E46 M3 is the rear chassis "V-Brace" (BMW # 33312229899) found on all 2001-06 Convertibles and Coupe (including the CSL). This brace attaches to the outward points of the rear chassis and to the area near the rear subframe carrier. Since some of these vehicles are now over 20 years old, we have been seeing more and more of these start to rust away. We began studying the OEM part, curious as to why they were starting to rust away. We found that the two arms of the "V" are made from 38mm x 12mm (1.5" x 0.5") hollow square steel tubing, pressed ends and welded to a junction plate joining them with welds holding the arms at a specific angle. Since the arms are hollow, it helps keep the overall weight down, but does little to prevent corrosion since it is difficult to paint/coat a hollow tube. A Google search turned up very little other than used ones on eBay and new ones that turned out to be in short supply from the BMW dealer (not surprising since the car is over 20 years old). Determined to make something better, we began our engineering and R&D process. Goals of our Design; Modular design, since packaging and shipping something this large would probably be too expensive Costs would dictate material and manufacturing methods Lighter weight would be a secondary (or tertiary) goal, but also keeping in mind costs Corrosion resistant, so it would not rust from the inside out, like the OEM version After weighing the material, manufacturing and cost options, we decided to go with a fully CNC'd ACQ 6061-T6 aluminum assembly. The concept is to machine two identical arms (one part number) and have them joined with a "junction plate". The arms would be secured to the plate with Grade 8.8 grade hardware and the entire assembly would include replacement Grade 10.9 hardware to replace the original OEM hardware (which is probably original). Details of our Design; CNC'd 6061-T6 construction, secured with Grade 8.8 socket head cap screws. Included are replacement Grade 10.9 hardware to fit in the factory locations. About 4 lbs. fully assembled weight (vs. 6.25 lbs for OEM), about a 35% weight savings Anodized gray finish Modular design allows for one arm to be removed in case of exhaust removal requirement. Included in the Kit Two (2) arms of the brace assembly (they are idential) One (1) junction plate One (1) red spacer (this goes BETWEEN the brace and the chassis!) Two (2) blue spacers (these goes BETWEEN the brace and the chassis!) Four (4), M10 socket head cap screws Three (3), M10 flanged hex head bolts It is recommended that the holes used to mount the V-brace onto the car be cleaned before installation by running an M10x1.5 tap to clean each of the holes.

KMAC camber/caster plates use a patented adjustment method designed for easy and rapid alignment adjustments. The KMAC design has a 'floating' inner camber plate, rather than slotted, to allow camber and caster to be adjusted together. To adjust, simply loosen the top three nuts on the strut tower and position the KMAC mount to match your desired alignment settings. The KMAC design allows more camber and caster adjustment because separate caster hardware is eliminated. While primarily designed to increase negative camber for track use these can also be used to fix alignment issues that cause uneven tire wear or unwanted handling behavior.

KMAC camber kits are the most complete kits on the market, with all of the common spring perch options and strut hardware included. The OEM size spring perch as well as 60mm and 2.5" spring isolators are included which makes it easy to upgrade from stock struts to coil overs without having to buy new camber plates. Or swap springs on your coil overs between 60mm and 2.5" without buying additional upper perches. Also included are the most common strut pin hardware - 14mm lower bearing adapters and 12x1.5, 12x1.75, and 14x1.5 top nuts. This takes the guesswork out of ordering the correct hardware for your strut type. The urethane main bushing is also replaceable and the camber plate parts are made from 7075-grade aluminum for a lifetime of camber plate use.

Fitment Note 1: replaces factory BMW strut mount with 3 mounting bolts (up to 12/2014 prodution). Not for cars with 5-bolt strut mounts.

Fitment Note 2: suspensions vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The proper stacked height and clearances are required. K-MAC includes bearing adapters, spacers, and various top nuts but it is still the responsibility of the installer to ensure a correct and safe fitment. Basic instructions are included but professional installation is required. As with any race-derived component, additonal fabrication may be required.

The Stage 2 KMAC plates are a mixed street/track camber/caster plate meant to be used in a variety of suspensions. Since there is less bushing than on the Stage 1, more noise and vibration will reach the driver. The adjustment design is similar to the Stage 1 with a floating mount that sets camber and caster simultaneously. This design allows maximum range of adjustment since no other hardware interferes with the adjustments. These plates can work on both coil over and stock-stype suspensions. Bearing inserts and adapters included. The Stage 2 camber plates are shorter than a factory mount so may not be suitable for cars will little suspension travel. These are designed mainly for adding negative camber for improved handling and not for camber correction back to stock settings (see Stage 1 kit). Detailed instructions included.

When an E9X is lowered beyond the limits of just lowering springs, the rear wheels toe-in excessively. This excessive rear toe leads to premature wear, that many people attribute to an increase in negative camber. It has become a common belief that an extremely low vehicle will wear the tires wrong as a matter of consequence. It has become standard practice to go as low as you can and proceed to replace your tires every five to ten thousand miles. Whats more is that when the vehicle reaches a certain ride height, the factory arms become maxed out and there is no way to compensate and dial in the proper toe. You're left with an improperly aligned vehicle that is in effect worse off than it was with the stock suspension installed.

This is not only uneconomical but improper and unsafe. ECS Tuning is proud to offer a solution for this problem in the form of Rogue Engineering E9X adjustable rear toe arms.
