The Mini is considered a car that always brings a smile to ones face with its playful look and particularly its position on the road, which is reminiscent of driving a go-kart. The engineers from Akrapovic prepared solutions for the little devil that further increase the performance of the Mini Cooper S and the Cooper S Cabrio as well make it sound even more appealing. Just by looking at the rear, we can see that it's an Akrapovic - namely, the rear boasts a dual exhaust system outlet of a larger diameter, shaped like racing exhausts. The homologated stainless steel aftermarket Evolution exhaust system with an integrated resonator and end muffler is equipped with adjustable tail pipes made of titanium or carbon fiber. The most demanding customers can also upgrade the Evolution exhaust system by using a down pipe with catalyst.
The Akrapovic exhaust system also improves sound characteristic, reduces drone and vibrations and makes driving even more enjoyable. The Evolution system, with the optional down pipe, greatly improves the motor's performance at all revolutions, which is evident from the performance chart. The system offers an additional 7,6 HP and 7 Nm. Additionally, improvements to weight are not negligible, since the Akrapovic exhaust system, made of stainless steel, together with the optional down pipe, weights 3,67 kilograms less than a stock exhaust system. As you approach 4,000 rpms and higher you now have started to open up the can of worms, you can feel the free-flowing path of the exhaust with limited to no resistance, far superior to the factory exhaust. Anything after 6500 rpms is an absolute statement of exhaust. Over 6500 rpm is a sonorous note that lives rent free in the enthusiasts mind that can make a believer out of anyone who doubted the capable E46 M3. Once you are done having your fun and have experienced your S54 more than you ever have all you do is make one button click on your valve controller and you are back to high class and refinement. The M2 M Performance exhaust is truly impressive! BMW has designed a performance exhaust system for the F87 M2 that makes the lithe M2 sound like a beast! The stainless M Performance exhaust replaces the stock system from the front pipe back and eliminates the center resonator. The sound transforms in Track Mode and is very aggressive and throaty. The rear muffler incorporates two bypass valves (one on each side) so you can choose between a street mode and open track mode. A Bluetooth remote is included to switch between modes (the standard Comfort-Sport-Sport+ settings will no longer control the exhaust valves). Professional installation is recommended as the exhaust flap controller must be connected to the stock wiring harness in the trunk.
