ECS Tuning VANOS Seal Kit

The original BMW seals are made of Buna-N rubber, which quickly hardens and loses its sealing properties when exposed to synthetic oil and high heat. Our ECS engineering team has corrected this flaw.

Hardware to replace the coarse-thread screws originally used to mount components to the plastic valve cover.

Factory and aftermarket valve covers are made from plastic and use coarse-thread screws designed specifically for plastic. When upgrading to an aluminum valve cover, this hardware can no longer be used, as it will not properly thread into aluminum.

This kit includes all necessary hardware required to mount the factory components onto your upgraded aluminum valve cover.

The factory VANOS exhaust hub on the S54 engine is known to develop excessive play where the drive tabs interface with the oil pump disk.
