Protect your Mini with the Turbo Heat Shield, an essential accessory to prevent hood paint discoloration, scoop warping, and underhood heat damage caused by excessive turbocharger heat. Additionally, it enhances the underhood appearance of your MINI. This metal plate mounts to factory points using supplied hardware, effectively reducing the amount of heat that bypasses the factory shield. While not encasing the turbocharger entirely, it serves as a secondary defense, complementing the factory-installed heat shield that isn't fully effective in preventing long-term hood paint and scoop damage.

• Prevents hood paint discoloration and scoop warping
• Guards against underhood heat damage caused by excessive turbocharger heat
• Enhances underhood appearance
• Mounts to factory points with supplied hardware
• Acts as a secondary defense in addition to the factory heat shield

From the factory, all BMWs utilize soft rubber or fluid-filled engine mounts. Not only are these mounts prone to degradation, they also allow ample movement of the drivetrain. This translates to looseness in your driveline, commonly associated with missed shifts and a generally isolated feeling.

To improve upon this issue, Black Forest Industries designed these upgraded mounts from the ground up. Their stage one mounts feature a proprietary 85A durometer bushing and bracket/cup design. Maximizing bushing area while minimizing vibration gives this mount the advantage of having the best ride characteristics possible from a urethane mount.

Features:

Perfect fit: Utilizing laser-scanning technology permits seamless integration with the factory engine mount arms. Quality tooling: All bosses are matched replicas with stock locations, and all tool clearances and specs are maintained. Heavy-duty construction: The use of billet aluminum instead of cast creates a mount that is dramatically stronger than its factory cast-construction counterpart. Performance design: 85A durometer bushings are geared toward the spirited driving enthusiast who doesn't mind increasing NVH. Choose BFI Stage 2 for a quality mount that eliminates drivetrain movement.

Note: Stage 2 mounts increase NVH. Therefore, these mounts are not intended to be used on daily driven vehicles.

Stock mounts are made from soft rubber and are sometimes filled with fluid to give a car the most comfortable ride possible. The soft rubber and fluid helps to reduce the total amount of vibration, noise, and harshness (NVH) that is transferred into the cabin. The problem with this is driveline slop. The stock mounts allow a lot of excess movement and increases the amount of time it takes to transfer power to the wheels.

In order to address this issue, performance mounts can be substituted to reduce the amount of slop and transfer power to the wheel quicker. Two options for this are polyurethane mounts and solid mounts.

The middle ground is Polyurethane. Polyurethane is much stiffer than rubber, but these still let a large amount of movement in comparison to solid mounts. These are great for sporty, aggressive street driving, but for the track are not ideal.

For the track, solid mounts are great. Solid mounts give you an immediate transfer of power, at the cost of increase NVH. This is great for the track where comfort is the least of your worries and power is all that is important.

Features:

• Aluminum and Polyurethane Construction
• 80A Durometer Rating
• New Hardware
